Who finds dressage tests a bit confusing?!
What does the judge really want to see?

There is a reason why the BD tests are written the way they are but its not always obvious how best to present them to a judge.

The first clinic at Weir End Equestrian on Sunday 24th May we are going to be looking at individual movements from current BD tests, at whatever level you would like to work on, from intro to advanced.

Knowing how to present individual movements for the best marks will help to make more sense of the whole test and the demands of each level.

Even if you don't compete in dressage the sessions will be really valuable in helping you with suppleness, balance, control ....all the good stuff!

We can do half hour private sessions or shared sessions for up to three people. £30 per person

After a fab weekend at the BD Principles of Dressage seminar Lily is back out with her mates, covered in mud… perfect ! Such a lot of positives to take away from this event. Firstly massive thanks to Lily, obviously 🦄 also Sue Guthrie for allowing me to ride her lovely mare at this event and working so hard to make sure she looked fabulous. Becky Moody was just brilliant 🤩 what an amazing trainer she is! She sees so much and really makes a difference. Our PSG was so much better today and we are looking forward to building on what we have learned. Also thanks to British Dressage. This seminar is really a fantastic opportunity for everyone who loves dressage and we felt very welcome and appreciated - not bad for a little Welsh cob who lives out 24/7 😊

Iouar Elizabeth, Sue Guthrie’s fantastic little mare did us proud today at Hartpury. Not a perfect test but we tried hard and we learnt so much. Becky Moody was just brilliant! 🤩

The BD Principles of Dressage seminar was fascinating last year, I found it so inspiring which is why I am thrilled to be a part of it this year as a rider for the PSG demo with Becky Moody !! I am riding Sue Guthrie’s lovely Welsh section D mare Iouar Elizabeth both days. I would love to see you there on the 21st and 22nd March😊😊

Iouar Elizabeth owned by Sue Guthrie, was once again, a little super star at the Cavago Associated Championships on Saturday. She pulled another PB out of the bag to come second overall and win the Silver section of the native breed prix St Georges! I am so lucky to ride, train and compete this little mare she really is fabulous - massive thanks to Sue and Lily for making it all sooooo much fun!

It was a bit of a milestone for Sarah at Aberhall a couple of weeks ago. It was her first competition in 25 years and she did brilliantly! Especially, as it was a double first - she was riding her lovely young mare Fern, who had never competed before!

Sarah started Fern a year or so ago and has done great work with her but she needed a bit of extra support to take that first step towards her goal of coming back into the world of competitive dressage.

That's when Sarah asked me to help, and Fern came to stay mid July. Just 8 weeks later we have achieved so much and I am looking forward to helping them reach the next milestone!

Had a fab few days in Bath last week with Charlie Unwin, Steffi Dampney and a whole range of wonderful and inspiring coaches! The learning continues over the next 6 months and I know its going to be amazing! 🤩
