Dan has had a good week training. He hasn't had the opportunity to do very much in his 10 years so any schooling is hard work for him but he is improving each session

Training sessions last night involved improving balance and teaching Rebel to think for himself a little when coming into a jump rather than being 100% reliant on his rider. He has incredible talent and scope but now needs to learn to think.

One of the things we were asked to work on with Dan was loading onto a trailer as he would either refuse to go on or create a struggle when finally stood (see attached cable from previous loads) Day one and we achieved the result with calmness and kindness. We will continue to repeat to ensure loading becomes second nature to Dan

Meet Dan...the newest member of Mane Equestrian who joined us yesterday.

Dan is with us to develop his education both within the arena and build confidence out hacking and going out to different venues over the next few months. He is already very relaxed in his paddock!

So today our super star Rico is going to a new home to continue doing what we have spent the last 18 months training for. I'm sure he will continue to bring home the rosettes and look after his rider being the amazing pony he is 🥰

Rico was the pony which inspired us to set up Mane Equestrian and is a very special pony to us and his new home is already in love with him
