We had the honour of working on an amazing pond today, once owned by the great Frank Clarke.

A true master of the hobby, with more koi trophies than I've had hot dinners, and home to a stunning pond and fish collection.

We received a call last week regarding an issue with the drum filter. After a quick visit on Friday, we diagnosed the fault and found we needed parts urgently from Burtons to get the system running again. I contacted Paul at Burtons, who kindly arranged for the parts to be delivered overnight.

We returned today and carried out the repairs, replacing the main drum shaft, drive motor and spur gear. The job involved completely stripping down the drum to replace the main shaft, but this should help prevent future damage to the drive motor and keep everything running reliably.

The drum is now fully rebuilt and back up and running. It's always nice when a client says, "I've never heard it run so quietly!"

We've got a bit more work planned on this pond over the coming weeks.

We don't just fix ponds; we also revitalise aquariums. This is an office tank we have completely re-scaped with new chalk stone to enhance KH/Alkalinity, and incorporated drift wood to mitigate tank aggression.

What was once a mundane office tank now resembles a professionally aquascaped tank, presenting a sophisticated aesthetic suitable for any office environment.

Nice little job for Friday. This pond has been struggling with water quality and is running an old pressured filter system. We upgraded it with Easypod Auto with UV we expect in a few days this pond to clear up and owner can start to enjoy seeing their fish.

This video we took before a pond we cleaned this week we removed all the fish and drained it down and jet washed it all and removed a slit.

The client asked for us to separate all the gold fish and put them into another pond only koi will be going back in here.

One of the koi didn't look very good and was suffering from a bit of dropsy so we have salted the pond to 0.3 and got a 21 day course of Kursuri 1% Acriflavine for the client to dose .

The stunning mix of koi in here is a 4 huge grass carp you cannot see.
