Please sign, support and share - the whole system is bonkers - Cwtch Lloi is a genuine holiday let which can't be used as a residential dwelling because of planning rules - we're rural and rely on a holiday letting company to do the marketing and bookings etc so would very rarely make the 182 days despite being available 365 days a year. Our little cottage, amongst many others are caught up in the strategy that the Welsh Labour Government brought in to solve local housing - we are now hoping that Plaid Cymru will relook at this and make it fair for the genuine holiday lets.
The Senedd recently raised the occupancy threshold from 70 days to 182 to qualify for small business rates relief. This is very difficult to achieve particularly in inland areas. Tourism is being adversely affected and businesses are shutting down at a worrying rate.
