ππΏ Gaston - Our beautiful Boy πΏπ
Some very sad news to bring to you today.
Anyone following Paws for the last few months and many more, will know this beautiful face of Gaston.
An incredibly handsome boy who came into care 14 months ago as a long term stray with a long history.
He was quickly diagnosed as Hyperthyroid and with mild Kidney disease.
For the last 14 months, his doting and adoring foster Mum, Jo has been taking such good care of our boy, with his daily medication and special food whilst we did all we could to find him a special forever home.
So very sadly, a couple of weeks ago, Gaston showed signs of becoming unwell, and after a vets consult and bloods, it was so sadly confirmed that Gastons Kidneys had finally gone into failure and nothing more could be done :(
Gaston went back home with Jo, on palliative care, and on the 13th February, the hard decision was made that Gaston was at end of life and our beautiful Vet we use, came out to Gaston in his "home" and he was peacefully, and with dignity, sent on his next chapter amongst stars, on the lap of his foster Mum comfy in front of the fire.
We had been searching for your forever home darling.... you had already found it.
You've had a safe, loved and cherished last 14 months. Thank you Jo, your foster Mum. I know you will have loved her as much as she loved you. You were home. You are now home..
Thank you Jo for all your love. Gaston, you will be missed.
Sleep tight beautiful boy, be the brightest star in the sky. β¨
