Maude died suddenly and unexpectedly this afternoon 💔
She was in excellent health until yesterday, when she was a bit off her food. She was much better this morning.
Then suddenly she collapsed so we rushed to the vet.
Unbeknown to me or the vet, because she'd never had pain or symptoms, she had a cancerous tumour in her spleen which had burst. That's when she collapsed. She'd also developed a strong heart murmur.
She died laying in my lap, having a cuddle and looking into each others eyes.
I'm devastated. I thought we had another 5 years together, but it was not to be.
In her honour and memory I'm trying to raise money for All Dogs Matter, the charity that brought us together. This was originally a birthday fundraiser but there's little to celebrate now, except Maude's life and the wonderful way that she changed mine.
