in the last week or so probably about close to a dozen owners telling me dogs are not eating much ......THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL IN WARM WEATHER.
It’s completely normal for a dog to eat less in hot weather. The heat makes them lethargic, meaning they burn fewer calories. Plus, strong food aromas can be overwhelming when they are trying to cool down.
Small meals should be offered . A little at a time is the trick when hot .
Try these simple tricks to encourage your pup to eat, Serve at cooler times: Feed them early in the morning or late in the evening when the temperature drops. Offer smaller portions: Break meals into smaller, lighter servings throughout the day rather than one large bowl.
RAW IS VERY APPEALING WHEN A BIT ICY IN HOT WEATHER
Hydrating snacks: Keep them cool and nourished with dog-safe fruits like watermelon or cucumber (seedless and skinned).
FROZEN SPRATS AS SNACKS.
BONE BROTH FROZEN INTO ICE LOLLIES.
SO MUCH CHOICE ....FROZEN CARROT ....FRESH CORED PEELED APPLE...FROZEN FILLED KONG...whatever they love. ....so dont worry ...just keep them cool & hydrated.
AND KEEP THEM INSIDE WHEN TOO HOT ...NO MATTER HOW THEY PLEAD..LOL
