Home from a fantastic day at Ickworth with the boys in the 90 😊 The ground was absolutely perfect and the XC was a true PC track with lots of questions. A lot of hard work had clearly gone into making the going so good.

Mrs Slater’s Pirate King did a fantastic dressage to lead the section on 28.5. A really unlucky rail cost us the win, he finished 🥈 😁

My Krazy Paving had an unsettled DR warm up resulting in a cricket score mark! One of those things. BUT he followed this with a beautiful double clear, jumping in a super rhythm the whole way to rise up the ranks to come 5th on his dressage score 😁

Just thrilled with both of these lovely horses, and feeling very lucky to have the opportunity to partner them in their second careers ☺️

A massive thank you to everyone who helps and supports us, Worming Wisely and my wonderful friends who always help with the pony swaps and close times!

Also, a huge well done to the Waveney Harriers PC gang, who all had fabulous results today! Great to see you guys enjoying it 😁

Pirate King and Krazy Paving both had super runs at the brilliant new Tetworth Horse Trials - what an event! Huge atmosphere and perfect ground 👌
Mrs Slater’s PK is growing in confidence with every outing, improving all the time and thoroughly enjoying this eventing malarkey! A sweet, rhythmical DR, good SJ which was much improved and an awesome, confident clear XC. He gives an awesome feeling out there!

My KP was on fire, a tense but accurate DR, hugely improved SJ for a really unlucky rail, and an absolute blast XC… so much so, that I missed a fence! Sack the jockey, but KP is non the wiser and finished what he thought was an epic clear XC!

Marathon of a day with a 2:45am alarm, but these horses make it so worth it. The eventing community is awesome and a massive thank you to Francesca and Immy who helped me around their own competition days!

Both horses have now qualified for the RoR Eventing Championships in May! 😁💚

What a beautiful end to the Easter Bank Holiday!
It’s not always about the ex racers, I am loving getting to see more of my coaching clients now that the clocks have changed!
Immy & Chance and Eboni & Sirius both had a super time at Stratford Hills yesterday, two lovely combinations who both learnt lots and are enjoying getting prepped for the event season ahead 😁

Lots of fun had at tonight’s session with a lovely variety of RoR’s, all at different stages of their retraining.

Well done everyone, it is always so good to see these horses learning about life after racing and using what they learnt as racehorses to aid them in their next adventures.

I am unbelievably proud of these two super stars today!
Mrs Slater’s gorgeous Pirate King really stepped up to the plate today and did his first 90cm and first 1m! He felt confident and keen, a couple of green moments that are absolutely understandable at this stage, I’m just so chuffed with his attitude! 1st & 5th for him today 🏵️
My little pocket rocket was certainly a rocket today! After a fiery round in the 90cm, he stepped up and did his first 1m, coming 3rd! He felt mega and took the step up in height totally in his stride, just love him!
Both of these horses had long and successful flat racing careers. I absolutely love the journey from racehorse to riding horse ❤️
