This week marks two special anniversaries
First Class Dogs grooming and walking was born 4 years ago! We started offering our popular dog walking service with our wonderful human Alex alongside Abi’s already busy mobile dog grooming service.
Abi has been providing mobile grooming for 5 years and took the leap to add dog walking to her services after only 12 months of opening. Both dog walking and dog grooming services are still hugely popular and run waiting lists for new clients.
We truly have the best clients and best dogs on the planet. Thank you for your continued support

My Bedlington Topsy finally got a hair cut. I’ve no idea when she was last trimmed but it was several months ago that is for sure!! The groomers dog is always last in the list. She’s ready for a party now!!
New year walkies also started back for 2025 on Monday. What a week of weather we’ve had though! Poor Alex was snowed in on Thursday and the snow disrupted her Friday too! Next week is look much warmer and perfect for winter walking adventures with friends.

First Class Dog Grooming by Abi provides a professional dog grooming service to your home in our fully converted grooming van. Our van is kitted out with state of the art equipment with all Vegan, natural products so you know your best friend is being pampered with products that promote a healthy skin and coat.
Our mobile grooming salon has the most up to date products available; ultrasonic teeth cleaning, Co2 rinse to promote and repair damaged coat and skin, nail grinders and activated charcoal scrubs to name a few. We use the best products available for your dogs, no expense spared.
Our price scheme is based on size, effort required, frequency of grooming and behaviour. No hidden charges. You will know the price of your grooming before the groom has started. We offer 3 levels of grooming service as well as an in-between bath service.
We provide an option to pay monthly for your dogs’ grooming needs so you will always know how much money is being spent on grooming, this is eligible for discounted pricing. Multi dog households (3 plus) will be eligible for discounts and if your friends have their dogs groomed on the same day as you at the same location or less than a 3 mile drive then you will both be eligible for discounts.
A bit about Abi:
I am passionate about dog grooming, the industry and your dog’s welfare. I will always be honest with you but I will never tell you off, nor will I make you feel bad. I am simply here to care for your dog and make his or her well being the best it possibly can be when they leave my care. I can help you and educate you, all you need to do is ask.
I love to make your dogs look cute, cool or like their breed standard says they should look. However if you want them short and sweet so they are clean and easy to maintain then I’m more than happy to do this too (this is cheaper too)
I have been working in the dog grooming industry as a stylist since 2013. I worked for the groom room at Pets at Home in Plymouth for 6 years where I have learnt the invaluable skills for providing a great service to dogs and their parents. I hold my City and Guilds Diploma in dog grooming which is a higher level qualification than most dog groomers hold, to achieve this I completed course work and 3 timed grooms. I scored two merits and a distinction which I am immensely proud of. I have kept Bedlington Terriers since I was 16 and hope to have another one soon after loosing my best friend in December last year. I competed at grooming competitions with my Bedlington as well as a Mini Schanuzer a Bichon cross and a Soft Coated Weaten Terrier being place or winning my class with each dog. I cant wait to get back to competing and hope to take one of my customers Bedlingtons to a show this year, watch this space.
