Meet the gorgeous Paddy 💚🖤

🚨 Paddy was brought down to us today as an emergency🚨

🪵🐾Paddy was involved in a incident with a chainsaw which unfortunately cut his neck down to his shoulder.

‼️Paddy was brought straight to the practice where  he was admitted for a stich up.

💚Luckily Paddy’s wounds were superficial, he has been a very lucky boy!

🐾Although Paddy was injured he was still a very happy loving boy who enjoyed lots of cuddles and love 🥰

👩‍⚕️And as you can see by the photos below, Paddy made bestfriends with nurse Lucy 🥰

⭐️Well done Paddy, you have been the bravest most handsome super star⭐️

Come along with Mo for his dental procedure 💚🖤

Mo came into the practice today for a dental procedure, this included a scale and polish and also extractions where needed 🦷

Mo was such a brave boy, everyone fell in love with him, he got lots of cuddles and love from everyone!🐾

Well done Mo you are a super star ⭐

🖤💚Doris’ Story 💚🖤

🐾A lot of you will already know Doris! Doris is often found behind reception at the Guisborough practice, she comes to work with Katie one of our receptionists.

🌽Last Friday night Doris treated herself to a corn on the cob. Corn on the cob isn’t digestible which means this could have gotten stuck in her intestines.

💚Katie took Doris into our Upleatham practice on Saturday to see vet Camilla, Doris was sedated, she had x-rays and a abdominal scan, this confirmed the corn on the cob was in her stomach.

👩‍⚕️Doris was taken into theatre, Camilla preformed an exploratory laparotomy to remove the corn from Doris’ stomach. Registered veterinary nurse Kerry monitored Doris anaesthetic, giving her medication and fluid therapy.

🩺Doris recovered in her kennel well and went back home with Katie for the rest of her recovery.

❤️‍🩹Doris is now recovering really well and has returned back to her cheeky self, loving all the attention and love from all the staff and client who come in to see her.

🌱🌾Grass seed awareness🌾🌱

💚 Meet Milo 💚

🐾Milo came in last week after going for a walk with his pawrents, after rolling around in the long grass Milo showed signs of being irritated by his ears and seemed uncomfortable.

🌱Milo was brought straight to the practice to see our lovely vet Beth. During his consultation it was clear he had a grass seed! Milo was admitted for sedation.

🩺2 grass seeds were removed from Milo’s ear canal! These are very sharp peices of grass that if left untreated can migrate through the body!

🌾Grass seeds are the pointy seeds attached to long grass stems, they have sharp ends. They are often found in meadows, woodlands & near the beach!

🖤Signs of a grass seed include:
-Limping
-Licking/ Chewing
-Discomfort
-Swelling
-Shaking the head
-Sneezing

🌱Grass seeds are usually found in:
👂Ears
👃Nose
🦶Feet
