Rufus the Seaside Cat has finally returned from his two-week unauthorized expedition 🌍🐈⬛ — and he’s acting like he just wrapped up filming a nature documentary for National Geographic.
After escaping about 14 days ago, he apparently decided to tour the coastline 🏖️, charm half the neighbourhood 💁♂️💁♀️, and live his best “mysterious seaside wanderer” life. Even to the extent "sleeping in the shop in Peacocks on a new display beds"
It got so serious we had to call in the community search-and-rescue squad 🚨 — aka everyone within a 2-mile radius who has ever met Rufus, fed Rufus, or been emotionally manipulated by those giant “help me, I’m adorable” eyes 👀💖.
There were sightings. Rumours. Bigfoot-style reports:
“Pretty sure you saw him near the Oceans hotel” ⚓
“He winked at someone outside the Anchor Cafe.” 🍟
“He was definitely judging that person's parking.” 🚗😼
But at last, Rufus strutted in the house like he just rescued us 😼✨.
For the winter, he is now metaphorically chained to the house — meaning doors shut 🚪, treats on standby 🍗, and the entire neighbourhood ready to prevent ‘Rufus: The Sequel’ 🎬.
Welcome back, Captain Chaos 🧭🐾.
Let’s try staying ashore for at least a week, yeah? 😅🐱
