☀️ Hot Weather Warning: Keep Those Paws Safe! 🐾
With the temperatures rising, it's incredibly important to keep our furry best friends safe, cool, and hydrated. Dogs don't sweat the way we do, and they can overheat much faster than you think!
Here are a few crucial reminders for the hot days ahead:
🐾 The 5-Second Test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement. If you can't hold it there for 5 seconds, it's way too hot for your dog's paws! Stick to early morning or late evening walks.
🚗 Never Leave Dogs in Cars: Not even for a "quick minute," and not even with the windows cracked. A parked car can become a furnace in less than 10 minutes.
💧 Hydration & Shade: Always ensure they have access to fresh, cool water and a shady spot to rest.
🚨 Know the Signs: Heavy panting, drooling, vomiting, or lethargy can be signs of heatstroke. If you suspect your pet is overheating, act quickly and contact your vet immediately.
