Dogs talk without words 🐾 Context is everything — tail, ears, eyes, and posture all tell a story. Learning to read them correctly keeps your dog happy and safe. Which cues does your dog show most?

Dogs communicate almost entirely through subtle body cues. Learning to read them accurately requires looking at the whole picture: tail, ears, eyes, posture, and additional signals together.

Other Signals / Calming Cues
• Yawning, lip licking, turning head/sideways: Calming signals — dog is trying to diffuse tension.
• Play bow (front down, rear up): Invitation to play; context matters to distinguish from stretching or stress.
• Paw lifts, pacing, or shifting weight: Signals uncertainty or anticipation.
