Wow!

The park is looking AMAZING after its first hair cut, the grass is doing well 💚

The beady eyed of you might spot a little surprise being prepared ready for the summer 🌊🌳💦

It’s not ready yet, we need to dig it in, plant the oxygenating dog friendly plants, and test the water.

But I’m so excited, the little spring is filling it fast.

We can’t wait to see you all again xx

Every so often, someone sends you something so touching that it brings tears to your eyes. This review from Laura did just that. I am so glad we’re their new found ‘safe space’ ♥️♥️♥️

“We have had Jackie just over a month now and she’s the most nervous dog I have ever met. I rescued her from a company who train assistance dogs but she failed due to her nerves but I didn’t realise to this extent! I’m still having to carry her in and out of the house for her to do her business in the garden!

On top of this, I have a child with high needs at home so life at the moment is full on!

Thankfully, I work at a doggy day care - The Dog Adventure Centre, Grantham and we bring our daycare dogs here once a month so thought I’d try a short 30 minute session with Jackie to see if she would tolerate it.... She did! She turned into a ball chasing, happy dog and I’ve never seen her tail wag so much!

Knowing the park was a completely secure field with some agility equipment, a tunnel and a lovely covered bench area, I was also able to take my son along who is known to elope and know that both nervous dog and high needs child were safe and secure and had the best time!

We will definitely be back as it turns out it’s our new safe space! 💜”

POLITE REMINDER

It’s great that the sun is out and I’m delighted that we’ve welcomed lots of new friends to the park 🥳
We’ve had some amazing feedback and everyone and their dog is loving the freedom in this warm weather.

I have, however, been picking up a fair bit more POO on my evening checks. Which upsets me just a tad. We’re meticulous in our house keeping and work hard to make it an enjoyable place for everyone. Sadly, not everyone appreciates this.

Please please please pick up after your dogs. We have kids running around the park and well frankly it’s just not on.

I am checking the park daily, and expect the odd oversight, but if it gets too much we’ll have to put cameras up which we just don’t want to do.

Please do let me know directly if you notice any, I ‘sweap’ the field every night so will soon be able to work out any culprits - and no one likes an angry retired rugby player- especially not a female ex number 8/ second row.

Please monitor your dog and pick up after them, let’s keep this place special for all to enjoy.

Still waiting…

Meanwhile I’ve fed & walked the dog, made hub a cup of tea which is now cold, and left discrete breakfast hints around the tidied kitchen. Next action to set off the fire alarm.

But I wouldn’t change a thing ♥️

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mums out there, I hope you’re spoilt rotten 😘

Ps must be getting soft in my old age, I’ve never allowed a dog on a sofa, let alone a bed - until this princess pooch arrived!

Isn’t this just a lovely review? This is what it’s all about, giving dogs their freedom and fun times 🐕🐾♥️

Meet Mallow. A very special Cinnamon Trust boy.

Mallow absolutely thrived during his time in the paddock. Being able to let him safely off lead made such a difference — his tail didn’t stop wagging! He sprinted, sniffed, explored and rolled in the grass with complete freedom. You could see his confidence grow as he enjoyed the space without the restrictions that often come with roadside walks.

The field itself is exactly what every dog owner hopes for in a secure space: fully enclosed with strong, well-maintained fencing and plenty of room to run.
For charity-supported dogs like Mallow, freedom is so special.

A huge thank you for supporting such meaningful work and for providing a safe, enriching space where dogs like Mallow can truly be themselves. We couldn’t recommend this secure field highly enough.

I’ve just had the most beautiful review from a very special lady Penny, who is a volunteer dog walker for the most incredible charity - which I hadn’t heard of until Penny contacted me.

For those who may not know, The Cinnamon Trust is a national charity that supports elderly and terminally ill people by helping care for their much-loved pets. They organise volunteer dog walkers, foster carers, and even arrange lifelong care for pets when owners can no longer look after them. It’s a truly heartwarming organisation, and seeing local businesses support their work speaks volumes.

Isn’t this just the most magnificent cause?
It is certainly one we will be supporting here at the dog park.

Penny, you and the Cinnamon Trust are incredible, we salute you 🐾🫡

What a top day with Jeff 🌞💪👍

A day of maintenance spent weeding and pulling ragwort rosettes, on dry soil. Yes you read it, DRY SOIL! Please let this be the end of the mud 🙏

Dad (Jeff) and I made a start on the pond pilot scheme by putting a dummy liner down just to see where the levels are, and to work out if the water was finding a land drain previously hence it not filling. Watch this space…

Thank you to everyone for allowing us this valuable time and apologies to those of you who wanted to book on today. You’ve allowed us a valuable day to make the park even better ♥️🐕🐾
