Sadly a deceased female tortoiseshell/ white cat was brought in this morning at around 9.00 AM from South end of Aviemore
She is not microchipped. Tortoise and white markings

Grantown Surgery Access Restrictions

Please be aware there will be roadworks on Forest Road and the Square which may restrict vehicle access to our Grantown Surgery from Monday 1st September for 2 weeks. Please allow a little more time when travelling to us.

Emergency access will be allowed by the contractors.

Meet Holly, a cat with a secret😺

As you can see in the photo’s, it would be easy to think that there was nothing concerning going on in Holly’s mouth, just a missing tooth.

The x-rays that were taken as part of Holly’s dental procedure revealed that she had several teeth affected by Tooth Resorption, sometimes known as as Feline Odontoclastic Resorprive Lesions. This is a painful condition that can affect a surprisingly high percentage of cats but being such stoic animals, they seldom give their owners any clues that they have a problem.

We’re pleased to report that Holly was a little superstar when she was in with us and she is recovering well after having all of the affected teeth attended to.

The only thing better than one kitten… is a bunch of kittens🐾💖🐱

We recently had this beautiful litter of Ragdolls in for their first vaccinations and microchips, they were an absolute dream!

Even indoor cats can be at risk from viruses that spread through contact with other animals or contaminated objects. Vaccines help prevent serious and often untreatable illnesses.

💉 Common diseases we vaccinate against include:

🐱 Cat flu (herpesvirus and calicivirus)
🦠 Feline infectious enteritis
🩸 Feline leukaemia virus (FeLV)

Kittens need two vaccines 3 weeks apart to get started. Adult cats then need a regular booster to maintain protection.

FOUND KITTEN - BALLINDALLOCH

This female tabby kitten has been found in the Ballindalloch area recently and handed to us. We reckon she is approximately 4 months old and she is not microchipped.

Please share away and let’s see if we can find out who has lost her*.
