Thank you to everyone who attended our second training weekend with Colleen Hoekstra Knox Dressage! There was so much going on with individual sessions, test riding, pole work, in hand and horse yoga alongside a guided hack exploring nearby Cornham Ford, lunches with the eventing Europeans at Blenheim Palace Horse Trials on the television, a brilliant evening talk from Amy Cox - ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist followed by a feast of a supper as well as weighbridge sessions and nutritional advice from Leah from SPILLERS!

It’s been a busy week at Emmetts - an Eric Winter clinic, a Hayley Watson-Greaves clinic and the Irish Draught Horse Society of Great Britain mare inspections, plus all the usual day to day activities. We had some very smart ID overnight visitors, two lovely foals for a sleep over and Simba the yard cat has decided his favourite thing is Henrietta’s back protector!

We were so pleased to host the Irish Draught Horse Society of Great Britain 2025 Mare Inspection at Emmetts earlier this week.

Following a thorough vetting process by Torch Equine Vets, the mares and their foals were presented to a panel of expert inspectors. It was wonderful to see such happy, healthy, and beautifully turned-out animals.

Join us in September for a training weekend with Colleen Hoekstra Knox aAmy Cox - ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapistes up to five training sessions plus yoga with Miranda Taylor, an evening talk with Amy Cox - ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist and more. The full list of inclusions are detailed on our website. Limited spaces are available so advance booking is essential. We offer residential places, non-residential and non-riding places. This camp will provide a fun and supportive environment for enjoying some top quality training with likeminded people.
