🌟 Star of the Week 🌟
She’s done it again! 🎉 Caroline .eq has been crowned Star of the Week for WINNING the 110 Show Jumping class with her beloved Elmo at the The Pony Club Championships — in her final year of a glittering Pony Club career. 🏆
Out of 71 starters, there were only 4 triple clears, and this dream team won the jump-off by an incredible 3 seconds. Absolutely amazing! 👏
But… we couldn’t let Caroline have all the glory 😉 Honourable runner up superstars all finishing their training programmes this week: dressage horses, JK and April from , Ronnie the Welsh Cob, Bear the Golden Boy, Ruby the future eventer and Tschieff and Ringo the polocrosse aces. 🐴✨

🐴 Tuesday Check-In – Reforming a Show Jumper!
Meet Mike — a fabulous gelding owned by Hambro Sport Horses. They’re best known for breeding and placing top-class event horses with up-and-coming riders, but Irish-bred Mike is destined for the biggest showjumping tracks.
He was competing with some success… but had become extremely tense, almost to the point of bolting. Earlier this year, he came to us for a few weeks to “unpick and repack” his general riding before heading out for another break in the field.
Now he’s back for his second block of training — and it’s like having a completely different horse! After a couple of weeks of hacking and flatwork, today Caroline gave him his first jump back. He stayed relaxed, happy, and came back between fences softly. Even over these tiny fences, you can see his quality shining through.
💛 Huge credit to Lexi and Jonathan at Hambro Horses for giving Mike the time he needed to enjoy his work again — putting his welfare and happiness first. We're really hopefully that he will get back back in the ring… although Caroline might not want him to leave!

He is such a sweet horse... he's a big lad who needs to be given time to develop and mature, but he has taken to ridden work brilliantly and we think he is going to be a lovely. genuine horse for someone to take forward! 17hh Black 4 yr old gelding by Dressage World Champion Glamourdale. Dam comes from the famous Oldenburg 'Love Story' bloodline with Diatano/ Don Primero / Sandro Hit in his bloodlines. He is homebred and currently being started under saddle by Jason Webb and the team at Your Horsemanship, Jason Webb where he is progressing really well.
He has proved very intelligent and quick to learn. In his three weeks under saddle so far, he has been hacking alone and in company round the farm, woods and lanes, as well as all paces in the arena and negotiating poles, logs and water etc.

We would love to say otherwise, but this is not a glamorous role! However, it is incredibly important to us and to the success of our business. It involves all the usual (physical) yard work, plus close checks of the horses in on training, plus our own breeding stock. Reliability and commitment is absolutely paramount to this role, so please only apply if you are able to fulfil the hours and role on a permanent basis.
Full and ongoing training is given and there may be the opportunity to extend hours to include weekdays later on in the year. We would like this role filled as soon as possible... Is there our perfect person out there?! 🤔🤞

🐴 Tuesday Check-In 🐴
This week, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Valley Pony Club to the farm – and let’s just say, they’ve been keeping us and our training horses very entertained! 👀🐎
From lead rein riders to the more advanced groups, it’s been fantastic to watch the kids develop their skills and confidence in the saddle. 💪✨ Hear what Jason and Hamish will be chatting about in their demo to the kids tomorrow!
Plus, a little nature bonus... our resident rooks have been busy doing their bit! These birds have a wonderfully symbiotic relationship with us and the horses. We add half a handful of whole oats to the feeds (unless there is a specific reason why a horse can't have them), and the rooks scatter and pick through the poo in return! Therefore doing our poo picking and harrowing for us! 🐦🌿

🤩Stars of the Week!🤩
This gorgeous pair have become firm stable buddies over the past couple of weeks!
4yo Bear (on the right) has been with us for starting and has come back in very well after his break. He is a bit of a sensitive soul, but his confidence is developing in leaps and bounds.
5yo Ronnie (on the left) is going great guns since he has been with us for some re-education after becoming a bit herd-bound and lacking forward in his ridden work. He is a real character, and you just can't help falling for him!
Hamish and Caroline enjoyed having this pair for their final ride of the week! Have a great weekend everyone!
