▪︎ Regular checks of all nuts and bolts.
▪︎ Regular checks of all arms and tension cables.
▪︎ Grease the bearing with a grease gun which attaches to the grease ni***es around the bearing.
▪︎ A skirt of WD40 on the paddles hinges.
▪︎ Check the control box to ensure all switches are operational such as emergency stop button.
▪︎ Remove any debris from the walker base to eliminate slips & trips.
▪︎ Check for any loose wires or cables.

Just one of our recent installations for our lovely client not too far away from us over the Pennines in Bolton.

We have recieved some great photos and video of their new Premier Horse Walker showing the horses all acclimatised and happy on the walker.

The icing on the cake for us is the great feedback and testimonials we receive.

Here are just some recommendations from vets and equine experts.

✔️ - Horsewalker surfaces that are soft yet firm
✔️ - Provide appropriate grip
✔️ - Slip Resistant
✔️ - Minimize Dust

A specialised rubber flooring or well-maintained waxed sand with an additive being popular choices that provide shock absorption for joints and protection for hooves.
The best footing offers a balance between allowing natural hoof grip and preventing excessive energy dissipation up the leg, promoting horse safety and well-being.

✔️ - Cushioning and Firmness:
The surface should be soft enough to absorb impact and be gentle on joints but firm enough to support the horse and prevent deep sinking or excessive abrasion.

✔️- Grip and Traction:
The footing needs to provide enough slip to allow the hoof to naturally grip the ground while also having enough resistance to prevent slipping.

Its getting to that time of year as winter preperation is upon us.
