We are looking for an experienced vet to join our rapidly growing, fiercely independent, family run small animal practice.
We currently have a team of two vets and four nurses and are looking for a new vet to join our team.
Our practice is equipped with some lovely toys including - high quality ultrasound, digital X-ray, full Idexx lab suite, dental equipment and orthopaedic power tools.
We are a busy practice that prides itself on delivering the highest possible levels of clinical care and standards so experience is essential. In light of this, new or recent graduates won’t be considered for this role.
We think that we have a very unique clinic here at Madra. We have a more traditional approach to veterinary care, getting to know clients and their animals. We really do care about every pet and family that we care for and would need any new vet joining us to share this view with us. Our clients and their animals are genuinely lovely and are eager to work with us to achieve the best possible outcomes for their pets.
As we are operated and run by our two owners, there is no pressure coming from any “powers that be”. All that we ask is that you do right by the animal under your care.
Cases are worked up to a very high standard and we rarely need to refer animals externally. We have excellent relationships with peripatetic vets offering soft tissue, orthopaedic and diagnostic imaging services, allowing you to follow your cases through completely within our own four walls.
We ideally would like somebody who wants to work 40 hours/week but we are happy to be flexible on what the working week and hours would look like for the right candidate. We would expect some Saturday morning work from 9-1pm with a half day the following week in lieu. No OOH and working late/past your scheduled hours is not expected nor encouraged. Staff morale and happiness is something that we care deeply about and being able to plan your life outside of the clinic is a big part of that.
Salary is DOE but will be competitive.
