We've been a little quiet on here lately… so, shall we have a catch-up? 👀🐑

🐄 Goodbye Glossy & Bluey

With winter approaching, Glossy and Bluey headed off to market a few weeks ago. Sadly, we just don't have the space to keep them over winter, so it was time to say goodbye ❤️

🐑 Meet Blinkey!

While at market, Freya spotted a beautiful Border Leicester ewe in with the cull sheep. Meet Blinkey, who happens to be missing an eye! 👀😂

She'd been struggling with a sheepdog appearing unexpectedly and panicking when moved. Luckily, Freya gave her a second chance, and she's now home with the Border Leicester flock where she belongs 🥰

🐏 Enter Rufus!

We scanned our early lambers, only to discover that none of Freya's Border Leicester girls were in lamb 🙈 Time for a new ram! Freya found herself a cracking boy called Rufus, so fingers crossed for better news next time! 🤞😂

🐑 20 Scottish Blackfaces arrive!

Glossy and Bluey's departure freed up some funds, and we've welcomed 20 Scottish Blackface ewes all the way from Dorset! Perfect timing for Rufus, who's now got a whole new set of ladies to impress. 👀🐏

🧹 And finally…

Tunnel number 2 is officially mucked out! We had two very cute supervisors, Mac and Lady, overseeing proceedings. Their contribution to the workload remains questionable 😂🐶

So that's what we've been up to! New faces, new plans and plenty to keep us busy over winter ❤️

Well… we appear to have bought some sheep 👀🐑

Very pleased to have attended the 75th Annual Hill Radnor Flock Book Society Show & Sale and, somehow, we came home with a little starter flock of 3 ewes, 2 ewe lambs and a ram lamb! 🥰

We only went looking… and you know how these things happen 😂

There was also plenty of pen hopping going on throughout the day 👀🐑 Thankfully, we can confirm that none of our sheep were involved in any such shenanigans… on this occasion 😂

Our young ram has, however, wasted absolutely no time whatsoever settling into his new role. Let’s just say he’s already shown us that he understood the job description! 👀😂

We’re so excited to see what this little gang can do. A new breed, a new adventure and hopefully plenty of little Hill Radnor lambs arriving when the time comes

Already counting down to lambing and the next show season to see how we get on! 🐑🏆🥰

Swipe to see her as a tiny baby ➡️ 9 months later and looking like she’s about to start paying rent! 😂

I swear we only blinked and she went from “look at my little legs!” to “I’m basically a fully grown cow now, what of it?” 👀

The baby face has gone, the legs have filled out, and the attitude is still very much Glossy 😂❤️

Freya has gone and treated herself to a new ewe lamb after selling her ram lambs... Everyone meet Dolly!

She's only been to one show before... The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society and came 3rd!! I think she may have a bright future ahead of her 🥇🥇🥇🥇

The ewes give Crystalyx a 10/10 however... Number 7 and Dorothy give it 100/10 highly commended 🫡
