Megan and Stan in their new Chunky Monkey Galaxy Dressage which has been customised specially for their needs. Stan is a 13.2hh wide cob. They have a 16in tree to fit Stan and 16.5 seat and longer leg flap to fit Megan.

Happy little super cob ‘Rocky’ and his Owner Annie Mae in their Chunky Monkey Freedom. It’s been quite a journey fitting Rocky, I tried just about every off the peg saddle and everything slipped. So I asked if they could make a saddle for him as I know how awesome their saddles are and love fitting them! Rocky has a 14in tree with a 15in seat to fit Annie Mae.

It is time to recognise the experts who ensure the comfort and performance of our horses! Nominations are now open for the Equine Fitter Award (Saddlery, Bits, and Bridles).

This award, sponsored by the Equine Fitters Directory aims to honour saddle, bridle, and bit fitters who go the extra mile to provide a high level of competence and support for their customers. At the heart of the BETAs are a commitment to quality and high standards, and this category celebrates those professionals who uphold these values in the field.

Who can nominate? Nominations are made by consumers who have used a fitter’s services within the last year.

Who is eligible? You can nominate any independent or employed fitter, regardless of whether they are a BETA member or a non-member.

It doesn’t get much more rewarding than this? Saddle fitting for the racing school horses at The British Racing School. Seeing them so comfortable and happy. Training the next generation of saddle fitters - Kelly Smith- and sharing my knowledge with the staff and rider.

I had a great couple of hours yesterday fitting and test riding the brand new Arena Mono Dressage on my horse Beau. Wow he really loved it, engaged his core and worked freely. This saddle is staying as we both loved it!
