This is a really common sight in the salon.
Please regularly check your dogs all over for grass seeds.
Due to their sharp, barbed structure they can easily burrow into the skin and coat. These seeds can cause irritation, pain, infection and even internal damage if they migrate deeper into the body as well as a large vet’s bill.
The most common places we find them are between the pads and toes and in the armpits.
During all grooming appointments I’ll clip the underside of the foot between the pads short so that finding grass seeds between appointments is easier

Our Story

After 18 years of dog grooming, in 2016 I decided to take a break to concentrate on being a mummy & to spend more time with my two, very young boys.

Last year, when Douglas & Fred were 3 & 5 years old, I decided to open up my garden salon again, all-be-it on a very part time basis.

As before, I offer a full range of grooming services including a thorough brush & comb out, ear cleaning & hair removal, nail trimming, a warm bath in luxury shampoos, leave-in conditioning treatment, a warm blow dry & a professional haircut to suit your requirements & taste.

There will be much more emphasis from now onward, on using eco-friendly products, including the packaging that they are contained in. I will shortly be trying out a new range of natural shampoos by Nature’s Groom, containing only organic ingredients, vegan certified, made in the UK & bottled in recycled plastic, making it the first range of its kind in the UK.
