❕To all dog owners❕

Heatstroke happens most commonly when dogs are exercising in hot weather. Be aware of what this may look like and check for the signs. If you suspect your dog has heatstroke, move them somewhere shady and cool, wet their coat with cool water, and go straight to a vet.🏥

Dogs who are short-nosed (brachycephalic), older, overweight, or still very young, are susceptible to heatstroke the most. Be wary of this and stay alert for any signs!🚫

Bark on the Beach is back this Saturday!🐾🏖

28th June 2025, 10am-3pm

There are lots of activities lined up for you and your pups to enjoy! Including a Doggy Agility Course, provided by the Family Dog Club - Exbury, and ‘Scruffs’, our very own Crufts style competition. There will also be display stands from local pet businesses and photo opportunities.

Bring a picnic for you and your pup, or enjoy the refreshments available from The Lookout, including our Doggy Ice-Cream!🍦

This event will be held on the clifftop and there are plenty of dog waste bins around our country park.

🐶🐾Here are some tips to make your trip to our SELF SERVICE DOG WASH far less stressful, for both you & your dog.🐾🐶

😌STAY CALM YOURSELF- your dog picks up on your energy, keep your voice soothing & full of praise

😌BRING YOUR DOGS FAVOURITE TREATS - distract from the wash & dryer, then reward once bath time is over

😌START SLOW- start with water at the back feet of the dog, holding the shower head away so it is only a gentle jet, as the dog relaxes bring it closer & move up the body. With DRYER again start at the back, ensure the dryer is set on lowest setting (dial) far from the body. Slowly turn up the velocity as the dog gets used to it. A snood is available to cover dogs ears.

😌KEEP IT SHORT - Little & often is the best way to get your dog used to it. Finish before your dog gets stressed, even if not fully dry. Build up time each visit

😌VISIT REGULARLY- so your dog becomes use to being washed & accepts it as part of its routine
