Meet Molly, one of our Animal Care Assistants here at Family Vets.

Molly works alongside our veterinary and nursing teams, helping to care for our patients and making sure they’re as comfortable as possible while they’re with us.

Before joining Family Vets, she gained experience working in a cattery and as a veterinary receptionist, as well as studying Animal Science at college.

And this is just the beginning for Molly. She’s passionate about animal welfare and will soon be starting her veterinary nurse apprenticeship, something we’re really pleased to be supporting her with.

Outside of work, Molly keeps pretty busy with hockey, the gym, painting and paddleboarding.

Then there’s the small matter of the animals waiting for her at home...

- Poppy the pig
- Two dogs
- A rabbit
- Chickens
- And ducks!

So it’s probably fair to say caring for animals doesn’t stop when Molly leaves the practice.

We’re very happy to have her as part of the Family Vets team and look forward to watching her veterinary nursing career develop.

Cody decided to spend the weekend with a little French cuisine... 🥐

Unfortunately, his choice was half a pain au chocolat!

Because chocolate can be toxic to dogs, his owners did exactly the right thing and brought him straight to us. The sooner your pet is seen, the sooner we can start treatment and help prevent more serious problems.

The good news? Cody received prompt treatment and is now back home, feeling much more like himself.

It's a great reminder that even small amounts of chocolate can be harmful to dogs, so if your pet helps themselves to something they shouldn't, don't wait to see if they're okay. Give us a call as soon as possible.

We're here to help.

Family Vets is open on Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm, so if you need us over the weekend, we're just a phone call away.

Thank you to Cody's family for allowing us to share his story. We hope he's steering clear of French pastries from now on!

When a pet needs sedation, their safety is always our priority.

This lovely dog recently visited us for an ultrasound scan. Although they weren't having a full anaesthetic, they were carefully sedated to help them stay comfortable throughout the procedure.

Even with sedation, we monitor our patients closely. From heart rate and breathing to oxygen levels and blood pressure, we use the same high standard of monitoring to make every procedure as safe as possible.

Most owners only see the beginning and end of their pet's visit, but behind the scenes there's a dedicated team keeping a close eye on them from start to finish.

It's all part of providing the thoughtful, compassionate care that every patient deserves.

One month ago, we opened our doors.

It's hard to believe how quickly that first month has gone.

In just a few short weeks, we've had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful pets and the people who love them. From wagging tails and curious kittens to routine check-ups, new puppy visits and everything in between, every day has reminded us why we wanted to create Family Vets.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their pet's care, recommended us to friends and family, stopped by to say hello, donated towels and fleece blankets, or simply supported us by following along here. It really does mean the world to our small team.

We're incredibly grateful to be part of such a welcoming community, and we're excited for everything that's still to come.

Here's to the next chapter, and to caring for many more pets and their families in the months and years ahead.

Not every visit to the vets has to be a stressful one.

This handsome boy came in to see us for his vaccinations and was completely relaxed from start to finish. In fact, he seemed more interested in the treats than anything else!

We couldn't help but smile when he rested his paw over the scales. We suspect he wasn't too keen on us checking his weight.

Meet Nicole, one of our Registered Veterinary Nurses here at Family Vets.

As a veterinary nurse, Nicole's role goes far beyond what most people see. From monitoring anaesthetics and taking X-rays to running laboratory tests and, of course, giving plenty of cuddles, she helps make sure every patient receives the very best care.

After qualifying in 2019, Nicole travelled to Zimbabwe to work at an animal sanctuary before spending two years in a referral hospital. She then moved into general practice, where she enjoys building relationships with pets and their families every day.

When she's not at work, Nicole is usually busy being a mum or enjoying a run or walk in the countryside.

You might also spot her working cocker spaniel, Patsy, joining us for lunchtime walks as one of our practice dogs!

And here's a fun fact about Nicole... while she was at university, she missed her dog so much that she secretly snuck him in to live with her.

We're so pleased to have Nicole as part of the Family Vets team.

Meet Percy. 🐱

Percy was our very first feline inpatient to check into the "penthouse suite" in our cat ward while he stayed with us for some blood tests.

We've created a separate upstairs cat ward to give our feline patients a calm, quiet space away from dogs. It helps reduce stress and gives them a peaceful place to rest while they're with us.

We're pleased to report that Percy settled in very well and looked right at home in his suite!

We’ve been blown away by the kindness of our community. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated towels over the past few days. Your generosity has been incredible, and thanks to you, we now have plenty to keep our patients comfortable.

At the moment, we're no longer in need of towels, but we would really appreciate donations of clean fleece blankets if you have any you no longer use.

Fleece blankets help keep our patients warm and cosy during their stay with us, and they're especially useful for making nervous or recovering pets feel that little bit more comfortable.

If you have any spare fleece blankets you'd like to donate, please pop them into reception during our opening hours.

We’re looking for clean towels in good condition to use in our kennels.

They help us keep pets comfortable, cosy and well cared for while they’re with us, so any donations would be hugely appreciated.

If you have a few spare towels at home that you no longer need, please drop them off at reception during our opening hours.

Whether you're visiting us for the first time or you've been meaning to pop in and say hello, finding us is easy.

You'll find Family Vets at:

We're conveniently located in the heart of Rowledge, just a few minutes from Farnham, with free off-street parking right outside the practice, so there's no need to worry about finding a space before your appointment.

If you know the area, we are located next to Citrus Café and Hand's of Rowledge butchers.

As soon as you arrive, you'll be greeted by our friendly team and a calm, welcoming practice that's been thoughtfully designed with both pets and their people in mind.

If you're travelling from Farnham, Wrecclesham, Frensham, Bentley, Dockenfield or the surrounding villages, we're only a short drive away.
