Thank you to all my clients who understand why I am not walking any dogs today. As usual in the hot weather drop ins will be done for those who need them but I’m sure your dogs, like mine appreciate not going anywhere today.
His fans are already on but it is so hot now. I don’t see him moving until later tonight ❤️🥵

This is certainly a hot summer. I’ve had a busy time with early walks, early and evening play times, drop in with dogs and cats and pet sitting for a couple of cuties. I must admit I’m looking forward to some rain soon.

Happy weekend everyone. Sorry I’ve been quiet, just so busy I don’t know where the time goes. 😊 I’m hoping those who are on their holidays are having a wonderful time. I know dog walkers don’t normally like the rain but it would be good if we had some soon to turn the fields green again.

I hope all my furry friends are staying cool and of course their humans too 😊
I would really like to say a huge thank you to all my clients for understanding about me cancelling all my walks and group plays from Tuesday for the rest of the week. I would rather have no income than have one poorly dog, as I was not in the position to do very early walks this week due to other commitments that I could not change. So sorry for that.
I am looking forward to being back with all my furry friends on Monday as usual. I am missing them all 🐾🐶🐾

Being a dog walker is…

…having a full day of cancellations during a heatwave, but still travelling out to visit the one dog who’s home alone all day because they still need you.

…getting genuinely heartbroken when a client tells you they’re moving away. Even more so when you don’t get to say goodbye.

…keeping a dog on your books that’s miles out of your way because you’ve built a relationship with them and their family, and some things matter more than profit.

…knowing every dog’s favourite route, favourite toy and favourite treats.

…taking hundreds of photos of the dogs that no one asked for because you’re obsessed.

…refusing not to show up for dogs during your own difficult times, or.. as per my current circumstances, moving house (shattered 😆)

Being trusted to care for someone’s dog is an honour.. but being trusted by that dog means everything. 💗

Happy Sunday everyone.
Due to the extreme heat this coming week walks will either be cancelled, moved or changed to drop in visits. My furry friends safety is my number one priority and I would rather be safe than sorry. I will be in touch with changes for your furry family member. 🐾🐶🐾
