Had a very busy week schooling multiple of horses with different abilities. Now it’s the weekend time to have some fun with the ponies 🥰

Chalky had some great fun in the field on Thursday! Schooling in the school can get boring for young horses and it’s important to keep their minds occupied as well as trying to get them to enjoy themselves!

Frosty had a fantastic lunge session. Working on getting him working from behind as well as getting him balancing on circles on both reins in walk, trot and canter. It’s important to make sure they get worked equally on both reins so you don’t end up with one stronger rein than the other.

Tommy had a brilliant session on the lunge in the Pessoa in all gaits to make sure he’s moving correctly through gaits as well as encouraging his hind end to work alongside his front end.

Blue had a lovely lunge session on Friday to keep him ticking over while the owners are on holiday as let’s be honest no one wants to come back to a spicy pony.

Rosie has been a star working on loosing some weight as well as trying to get her to be more supple during exercise so plenty of bending exercises consisting of plenty of circles and serpentine.

Sunday fun day!
Started off with a last minute cheeky hack to the pub on Tommy with a few friends. All ponies behaved incredibly well on the roads. Considering Tommy isn’t the best behaved with motor bikes he was a super sensible boy when we encountered them!

Finished off with long reining the lovely Merlin. We are focusing on rebuilding top line and keeping him moving forward.

A very productive Saturday done and dusted!
Tommys schooling is coming on really well and starting to see a really positive change from being unhappy under saddle and behind the leg to now being very forward going and happy in ridden work. Today we had a good leg stretch ready for some schooling over the week. Tommy is a horse who gets bored easily so being in the school everyday isn’t something he enjoys so to switch things up we school in the field or go for a good hack to keep him a happy chap.

I have just started my freelancing journey after working hard for my BHS stage 1 and my apprenticeship level 2 groom, which is equivalent to my BHS stage 2.
I also have my silver ride safe and of course I am fully insured!
I can offer schooling on site in Fareham however this is limited on times and days but not to worry as I am able to come to you . All schooling and rehabilitation work will be tailored to suit your horses needs, as I understand how important it is to treat each horse as an individual and make sure they are understood so they can gain the most out of our sessions.
