If you have done anything with me you will have heard me talk about the importance of engagement!

Engagement isn’t about your dog staring at you or ignoring everything else.

It’s about connection, not obedience!

It’s when your dog chooses you—again and again—because being with you feels worthwhile.

A dog who is engaged can notice the world and still come back to you.

That might look like:
• A quick check-in on a walk
• Keeping tabs on where you are
• Reconnecting after a distraction
• Staying tuned in without being asked

Engagement grows when your dog learns you matter—not because they have to pay attention, but because they want to.

Adolescence changes everything for your dog 🧠🐾

That sweet, responsive puppy? Suddenly… chaos. Here’s why:
