As the weather gets colder, more pools are being winterised. If you’ve got an automatic safety swimming pool cover, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

Don’t lower your water level — your cover relies on it for support. Discuss with your pool maintenance company the option of setting your filtration system on a timer with a thermostat, so it activates when the temperature drops to freezing.

And don’t forget about your rainwater cover pump — check it regularly and clear away any debris to keep it running properly.
