SMASHER – LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME 🐴 - Please share

After an amazing career in racing, Smasher is now ready to start the next chapter of his life.
16.2hh | 6-year-old gelding | NO VICES
Smasher last raced on 28th July 2026 and has now been retired from racing.

We have owned him since he was a yearling and he has been absolutely brilliant for us on the track. He owes us nothing, and finding him the right forever home is by far the most important thing.

He’s a lovely type with a big character and is a pleasure to deal with on the ground. He is easy to do, good for the farrier, loads and travels well, and happily turns out with both mares and geldings.

He can hack out alone or in company, although he is happier in company.
Smasher could be a trickier ride when he was in training. He is not dangerous, but he does require a confident, competent and experienced rider who can bring out the best in him. For that reason, absolutely NO novices or nervous riders please.

With some time, patience and work, we think he could make a really fun horse for the right person. There is plenty to like about him and we're excited to see what he can go on to do away from racing.

🏡 HOME IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
We are looking for someone who wants to give Smasher a genuine forever home for the rest of his days. Ideally, we'd also love someone who is happy to stay in touch and send us plenty of photos and updates so we can continue following his life after racing.

Ideally, we would like him to remain within the South East so that he isn't too far away from us.

We had a great week last week. On Thursday Twirler ran her heart out and was so unlucky to finish 2nd at Epsom in the same race she won last year! 🧡

Nordic Glory went to Bath where he had his 11th career win under Owen Lewis. He’s been such a great horse for us, Attwater Racing and all his owners, especially Steve and Christine who deserve a special mention for being on the track cheering him home for all 11 wins 👏 🏆

Jackson Street ran a great race to finish 3rd under Paddy Bradley at Lingfield on Saturday.

Well done to the team at home and all connections. Here’s to another good week 🤩

That was a joy to watch! Under a 🍑 of a ride from Rhys Clutterbuck , Cappananty Con wins very nicely Bath Racecourse after his agonising 2nd at Lingfield on Saturday!

A few weeks ago we had a very special evening remembering Tommie ⭐️

Goodwood were absolutely incredible when we asked if it was possible to honour Tommie in some way on their all apprentice card, they went above and beyond to do so and we are so grateful. Twirler ran an absolute cracker in Tommie’s race, to finish second in very tough company under yard apprentice James, she very nearly made it a fairytale evening but we were so proud of her anyway and we all screamed her home with a tear in our eye 🧡

City of God ran a much improved race, and we are starting to learn a lot more about him.

🧡Nordic Glory🧡

Our wonderful old timer Nordic wins first time back from his holiday and gives James Glennon his first and very well deserved winner at Bath.

James works hard Attwater racing and we’re delighted to provide him with his first winner.

That was Nordic’s 10th career win, he has been such a superstar for us. It feels like a lifetime ago we purchased him as a yearling. He is not the easiest ride so James did very well today 👏

Win number 8 for us this year. 🚀
