My darling Lucy, we finally got round to agreeing that we need to have another pup. It has been heartbreaking coming to terms that you were no longer here and the hole you left in our hearts and lives needed to be filled. I am nervous and excited at what the future holds for us and our new bundle of energy that is arriving with us on Sunday. I think you would have liked Megan and I hope she will bring as much joy, love and healing as you brought to me in the 15 years we had together. We still love you, talk and think about you all the time and we hope Megan will learn how to be a good, fun and happy girl just like you 🥰 x

To the memory of silent footsteps
That beside us once did fall
We pause but for a moment

They served our country well

Footings are in for the arbor in position now. Just need to wait a while for them to bed, then some paving to finish it off. Then I can finally plant the roses we bought in memory of our Lucy dog. Been a busy day sorting out our flower beds for new plants to go in, lovely rhododendrons and hydrangeas. The front garden is really taking shape and will be awash with colour when the new plants flower next spring 🪻🌺🌹
