Hi 👋
I'm Kayleigh the owner of K9 Pet Services 🐾
With lots of new followers I thought I would do a little post to introduce myself 😊
I am a mum to two beautiful children, Jimmy aged 10 and Jessie age 7. They both often join me on my walks in the school holidays which all my walking dogs absolutely love ❤️🐾
After leaving school I gained a National Diploma in Animal Management followed by a BSc Animal Science Degree. My dream was to become a Vet but unfortunately I didn’t get a place at Vet School.
As a teenager I had three different jobs from the age of 13 through to leaving University, I worked as a Farm Hand on a Saturday, at a Kennels on a Sunday and 2 evenings a week I worked at a Vets Practice.
After gaining my BSc Hons Animal Science Degree I became a Ruminant Nutritionist and travelled around dairy and beef farms around Derbyshire 🐄 until I became pregnant with Jimmy, I was then lucky enough to be a full time mum until my Daughter Jessie started school 🏫
Around 2 and a half years ago I started K9 Pet Services and have honestly loved every single minute of it. Growing a small business can be challenging, I knew I wanted to provide the best and safest service for my clients and their wonderful dogs.
I have completed many CPD courses over the past couple of years including becoming a certified dog trainer, canine body language specialist and first aid instructor along with many more to ensure I can be the best I can be for all the dogs in my care.
In an unregulated profession I can pride myself on having not only a love of dogs but the knowledge and passion to put dogs safety and welfare first.
I absolutely love being the best Auntie to so many amazing dogs and watching them having fun and thriving in their group walks is just amazing 🐾
In my spare time I am either spending quality time with my family or we are all doing jobs around our own home. We are very lucky to live in the country with many of our own animals so there is always something that needs doing 🐴 🐕 🐢
