Good morning! We have a special announcement today 📣

** Our books are now closed to new clients 📖 **

A huge thank you for spreading the word about us and helping us grow! Caitie is embarking on another exciting venture alongside Kelly Vets, so to ensure we continue to provide the same outstanding level of care, we are not taking new clients. We will re-evaluate again in the new year, but for now our current clients and patients are our top priority! 👩🏻‍⚕️🐕🐈

(We’ll try to share more details in the coming weeks about what Caitie is up to - needless to say, she’s still on a mission to change the veterinary world! 🚀)

I am so humbled to have been nominated for the Veterinary Awards Vet of the Year 2025!

I have been blown away by the love and support from all of our wonderful clients since I opened just 7 short months ago. It is such an honour to be welcomed into your homes, and I have loved getting to know you and your pets. Happy Fri-yay everyone!

According to a recent poll, Kelly Vets clients are the best clients in the whole world! 🌎🤩 (It was a very extensive, professional poll.)

Let me preface first by saying that gifts are *never* expected or required. They’re always a wonderful surprise - and two in one week fills me with both pride and confidence that we’re doing something right! 🧡🐾 Thank you for appreciating us as much as we appreciate you!

I always asked myself “What would I do if this patient were Rory?” That question helps me balance all of my medical knowledge with all of the emotions that are involved in making decisions for a pets’ health. Sometimes it means I recommend doing everything we possibly can. Sometimes it means I recommend we stop poking and prodding and think about quality of life. And sometimes it means I quit my job and start up my own business so I can give all of my patients the time and attention and care that I wanted for her.

So today, she deserves a very special shout out. My soulmate, my heart dog, my reason for doing what I do. Happy 12th gotcha day, Rory. May we have 12 more. 🧡🐾

We’ve seen so many puppies the past month and it has been 🙌🏻 amazing 🙌🏻!

It’s so much easier and less stressful to do first vaccines and microchips at home, though we certainly loved all the creative ways clients used to bring puppies in the clinic! (shopping cart was a classic… although in hindsight it was probably stolen 🤔)

Puppy visits always brighten our day, so we hope you enjoy their cute scrunchy faces as much as we did!

We’re baaaaaaacckkkkkk! 🥳

This isn’t the post you’d expect from your vet. Maybe we should have posted about Easter dangers and chocolate toxicity. But you allow us into your homes, and we want to honour that by giving you our authentic selves, too.

We’ve had a rough few months here at Kelly Vets, suffering 3 tragic losses in the space of ~8 weeks. We took the opportunity over the holiday weekend to grieve, to rest, and to recharge, and yesterday we said a final farewell to our dear friend and colleague.

We want to say thank you to all of our wonderful clients. Your kindness and support - and patience while we closed - mean the world to us. 🥰

And our last appointment before we closed for the holidays was a bunch of puppies, so that was pretty great, too! (I’m sure Georgia will do a whole post on them soon - they’re too cute to keep to ourselves!)

So, we’re back open as usual and can’t wait to get back to seeing our furry patients. ☺️ We hope you all had a lovely, long holiday weekend, too! 🐣🍫

🐣 🐰 Easter Weekend 🐰 🐣

We’re just hopping by to let you know that we will be closed for a long weekend from 18th-21st of April for some much needed rest and a chocolate bunny. 🐇

We’ll also be closed on Tuesday 22nd April to attend the funeral of a beloved friend and colleague. ♥️

While we are away, our wonderful partner practices, westedinburghvets and Vets Now, will be here for your pets in case of any emergencies. 🚨

We will reopen on Wednesday the 23rd. 🎉
