Beautiful rare Scottish breed puppies available!

6 lovely Skye Terrier puppies born last week will be looking for their forever homes in 7-9 weeks from the Gifford area. 5 girls and 1 boy - Β£1,500 each.

Sired by a champion, they will be KC registered, wormed and vaccinated before released. All have passed health checks already.

If you haven't heard of a Skye Terrier, they are wonderful dogs! Mothers temperament is calm, loving, and independent and not a bark in sight! As stated above, father is a champion Skye Terrier and puppies look to be his colouring (black) but too early to tell. Mother can be met at viewings and puppies will be exposed to city sounds to help prepare them for any home environment!

If you would like me to pass on your details to the owner please do get in touch!

Congratulations Elona Smith on attaining CCAB pre-certification.

"I am excited to have gained my pre-certification as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the CCAB. Since completing my Masters in Clinical Animal Behaviour at Edinburgh University, I have loved helping owners understand their dogs' and get to the why behind their perceived 'problem' behaviours. I look forward to becoming fully accredited so I can go even further in helping dogs and their owners learn to live happily together."

It's good to be back after a wonderful maternity break with my special little guy.

I've been working with the very handsome Ozzy and his wonderful owner on his impulse control as he gets extremely excited by people and dogs! Very common in our labs!

Training in a multicoloured household can be tricky, and sometimes we are called to help one dog and find it is actually one of the others dogs instigating the arousal bursts! This was the case inside for Ozzy as his lovely mum, Daisy! Her impulse control also needed some work.

We are two sessions in and the difference in Ozzy is like night and day! Check out this clever boy relaxed and interacting calmly around a friends dog that he had never met before!

All his sucess is down to his brilliant owner who has taken my advice and some new routines for Ozzy and really run with it. Well done! πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³

Many thanks!

πŸŽ‰ πŸ• Calling all UK dogs and owners! πŸ• πŸŽ‰

Hi dog-loving friends! My name is River McDonald and I am a Clinical Animal Behaviourist currently undertaking research towards my PhD. Can I beg a little of your time to take part and help further our knowledge on dog walking equipment?

My goal is to hear from as many U.K. dog owners, with as many different kinds of dogs and using as many different kinds of equipment as possible! Your input is important and valued and has the potential to impact dog welfare in a positive way!

Taking part is anonymous and is really easy to do, just complete the online survey linked in the comments below. If you could comment done or like this post that will help others see it too! πŸ’ͺπŸ™Œ

Please feel free to share with your dog loving friends and family. If you can like/ comment too that will keep the post visible! The more dog owners I can get responses from, the more we can learn about how walking equipment impacts our canine companions!

I am also looking for Scotland based owners to bring their dogs to SRUC for a video based study too - there is an opt in for more info about this at the end of the questionnaire!

Thanks in advance for helping expand our canine science knowledge πŸ™πŸΆ

Slight change to my up-coming seminar, I've moved it to zoom!

This is to make it easier (and more comfortable!) for expectant mothers and partners to join in from the comfort of your own homes. It also means I can lower the price too!

If you can't make the time slot, fear not! The recording will also be available going forward for those who are interested (Β£30).

Email me to book your space and don;t miss out! It's going to be a good one

And that's a wrap on my daycare! Bittersweet feelings as I've been with many of my daycare dogs for so many years they feel like my own!

Gonna miss this lot so much but with moving away and the new addition to Clan Smith coming a few months later, it had to be done...

Change is always hard but doesn't have to be a negative thing. And I know my dogs are going to thrive at their new daycare run by the wonderful Ali.

I won't forget you guys!

Beautiful morning with some beautiful dogs for our Sunday Walk & train! Look at Addie just sitting like the bestest girl watching the football. So hard for a girl who's herding instinct is so strong!
