🌾 Harvest Staff 2026 🌾
RM & JF Seed are looking to recruit for the upcoming harvest season. There are a number of positions currently available for the right candidates to become involved in a large scale harvest operation in Scotland.
Positions are based at Merryhall Farm, Kirkliston, Edinburgh.
Accommodation is provided - a four bed cottage shared with other harvest staff.
Evening meals provided during busy periods from local butchers.
•Position 1 -
General Harvest Role x2
This position includes but not limited to general harvest duties including carting grain, chaser bin work, carting/muck spreading, lime spreading, ploughing, topping and general work. This role involves the use of the modern machinery.
•Position 2 -
Grain Dryer Operators x1
The suitable candidate will undertake grain handling and drying work on either one of our two drying sites using JCB equipment. Applicants must show care and attention to detail in record keeping, cleanliness of stores and must be willing to work long hours when required. Training will be provided.
Candidates will be required to start mid to late July until late September. However, this may be subject to some flexibility with the opportunity to stay on to help with autumn drilling.
