We just wanted to remind people that we work really really hard in looking after everyone's dog and in weather like this it's far from easy.

Trying to keep dogs warm and dry as well as trying to give them good walks and enrichment is not that easy and we often end up soaked through and freezing cold as we are outside all day. We also have old ones that need extra care and young ones that need extra attention.

If we don't reply to messages or calls straightaway it is because we are with the dogs as they remain our priority not for any other reason. So please be patient we will get to you.

There seems to be a terrible bug going around at the moment with dogs having sickness and diarrhoea.

From speaking to our customers whose dogs have been affected, it appears the majority of them have walked in or around Collington Woods.

Whether you are bringing your dog to us for daycare or for a holiday, please do let us know if you walk your dog around this area or whether your dog has shown any symptoms of illness.

If your dog is showing any symptoms please if possible keep your dog at home until they are better.

⚠️ Dog Illness Alert - Hampden Park Area ⚠️

We’ve been informed of several dogs around the area becoming severely unwell with haemorragic diarrhoea and extreme lethargy, requiring hospitalisation.

The only known link so far is recent walks around Hampden Park.

If your dog has been in this area, please monitor closely.

🚨 Seek veterinary attention urgently if you notice:

🔹Profuse diarrhoea
🔹Weakness or struggling to hold their head up
🔹Vomiting
🔹Sudden lethargy

Please also ensure your dog’s vaccinations are up to date, as this is vital protection against serious infectious diseases, such as leptospirosis, which comes from rat urine.

For now, consider avoiding the area and prevent dogs from drinking from puddles or scavenging.

Our paddock is like a giant muddy swap and us humans are struggling to walk in it. Please be patient when at the gate. We are coming, it's just taking us a little longer to get there because we are slipping and sliding all over the place.

When we tell people that we have a trampoline for the dogs they usually laugh at us.

You can see for yourself how much they love it. We even have a little ramp to help the smaller dogs get on.

It's lovely to watch them run and play together with so much space.
