One thing I’ve noticed working with a lot of dogs…

Most people already know what they should be doing — they just don’t stay consistent with it.

It’s easy to do the right things when you’re focused on it…
but over time old habits creep back in, the dog gets mixed messages, and the behaviour comes straight back.

That’s usually where the frustration comes from.

Not that the dog can’t do it — but that it’s not being followed through consistently.

That’s also why some dogs behave completely differently with me compared to their owners.

It’s not magic — just clarity and consistency 👍

Most dogs I work with aren’t “bad”… they just haven’t been shown clearly what’s expected of them.

If your dog is:

– pulling your arm off on walks
– barking at people or other dogs
– can’t settle in the house
– or just feels like it’s constantly “on edge”

you’re not alone — I see this every day.

Once things are made clear and handled properly, the change can happen a lot quicker than people think.

I’ve got a couple of spaces available next week— if you’re struggling and want to get things moving in the right direction, feel free to message 👍🏻

One thing I see all the time is dogs that are actually really good… but just don’t know how to switch off or behave properly in certain situations.

Pulling on the lead, barking at people or dogs, constantly on edge — it’s not that they’re “bad”, they’ve just never been shown clearly what’s expected of them.

With the right structure and consistency, most of these behaviours can be improved a lot quicker than people think 👍

I’ve got a few spaces available this week for 1–1 dog training sessions.

If you’re dealing with things like pulling on the lead, poor recall or general behaviour issues, I can help get things moving in the right direction.

Message me if you’d like to get something booked in 👍

Really appreciate this feedback from a recent client 🙏

Working with dogs that struggle to switch off or are constantly over-excited — both at home and on walks — is something I see a lot.

When things are made clear and consistent, the change can happen a lot quicker than people expect.

Ben was brilliant with our working cocker spaniel. We started out thinking he had seperation anxiety but Ben steered us in the right way showing us he just didnt know how to switch off properly at home. and on walks he was always way to excited but the first session changed him overnight he went from never being able to stop and being on the go to now being such a chilled loving dog. people never believe me when i say i have a working cocker who loves to be chilled on the sofa most of the day, we never would have known what to do if it wasnt for Ben. its amazing what a difference a day made for us and were so grateful that our little dude can live his best life

Good session this week working with a young dog that can become quite reactive out on walks.

Once things were kept calm and consistent, he settled much quicker and was able to move through the environment without reacting to people, dogs and other distractions.

A good reminder that a lot of behaviour comes down to clarity, consistency and how situations are handled in the moment.

Solid start and looking forward to building on it 👍

’ll be honest — most people don’t reach out for help with their dog until they’re completely fed up.

It’s usually when walks become stressful, the dog won’t listen outside, or they just can’t relax at home anymore.

And by that point it’s not just frustrating — it’s exhausting.

The thing is, most of these problems don’t come from “bad dogs”, they come from dogs that haven’t been shown clearly what’s expected of them in a way they understand.

Once that clicks, everything starts to change.

I’m working with a small number of dogs 1–1 at the minute across Durham / Newcastle / Sunderland.

If you’re at that point where it’s starting to feel like hard work, just drop me a message 👍🐾

One of the biggest things I see is dogs that are constantly “on edge” — always reacting, always switched on, always looking for something to do.

That’s when you start to see things like pulling on the lead, barking, reacting to other dogs or people, and not being able to settle at home.

It’s not that they’re “bad” dogs — they just don’t know how to switch off or handle the environment properly.

When you start to build that calmness and structure, everything else becomes easier.

I’m currently taking on a small number of 1–1 clients across Durham / Newcastle / Sunderland.

If your dog sounds like this, feel free to message me 👍🐾

Something I see a lot is dogs that are absolutely fine at home, but the second they’re out on a walk it’s like a switch flips.

Pulling, not listening, over-excited, completely focused on everything except their owner.

It’s not that they’re being “bad” — they’re just taking in too much at once and don’t really know how to handle it.

Once you start building proper structure and engagement, even small changes can make a massive difference.

If that sounds familiar with your dog, feel free to message me 👍🐾

Out this morning and it always reminds me how many dogs are actually struggling with things like pulling on the lead, over-excitement or just not being able to switch off properly.

It’s so common, especially with younger dogs, and a lot of the time it’s not about them being “bad” — they just don’t know how to handle the environment they’re in.

It’s something I’m working on a lot with dogs at the minute and the difference even small changes can make is huge.

If anyone’s currently dealing with similar, feel free to drop me a message 👍🐾
