This weekend temperatures are set to rise. It might be a welcome sight for us but our pets can really struggle.
💧Hydration is key: Provide plenty of fresh, cool water and refill bowls frequently.
🐾Limit exercise: Reduce physical activity especially during the hottest part of the day.
🌿Find shade: Create shaded areas in your garden or during walks.
❄️Use cooling products: Consider cooling mats, vests, or bandanas.
❄️Frozen treats: Raw frozen treats , doggy icecream, frozen yoghurt etc
❄️Never leave a dog unattended in a parked car, even with windows cracked.
🏠Keep indoors: During peak heat, keep dogs inside with air conditioning or fans.
❄️Cooling methods: Use damp towels, spray bottles with cool water, or paddling pools for a refreshing dip.
❄️Monitor for heatstroke: Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, or lethargy.
