☀️ HOT WEATHER DOG WALKING REMINDER ☀️

With the temperatures rising across Glasgow over the next few days, it’s important we all help keep our dogs safe and comfortable 🐶💛

🐾 Best times to walk:
• Early morning
• Later evening
Avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day when pavements and air temperatures are at their highest.

🔥 Pavement test:
Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws!

💧 Keep your dog cool:
• Always carry fresh water
• Stick to shaded routes
• Choose woodland walks, parks with tree cover, or grassy areas
• Avoid intense exercise or long walks

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Difficulty walking

If you notice any of these signs, move your dog somewhere cool immediately, offer water, and contact your vet.

Remember — dogs would much rather miss a walk than become unwell in the heat 🐕☀️

💔 Goodbye to a true legend – Benji 💔

Today we received the news that Benji the Whippet has sadly passed to rainbow bridge 🌈💙

Benji loved his walks and treats and got on great with our Marley. We’re grateful for the memories, the photos, and the huge pawprint he’s left behind.

Sending all our love to Benji’s family at this sad time. Run free, big man 🐾💙
