🇬🇧 Welcome to the magic of a traditional English roast!

This is a Yorkshire pudding stuffed with roast beef, steamed veg,( carrot, broccoli and peas), stuffing – all swimming in rich gravy 😋

Did you know this delicious tradition dates back to the 1700s in Northern England? Sunday Roast is more than food – it’s a weekly ritual of comfort and community.

Would you try it? Bellive me it is delicious 😋

🇬🇧 The Charm of the Red Phone Box ☎️❤️

You’ll find them tucked on busy streets and quiet village corners — a bright red splash of history standing tall through time.

The classic British red phone box isn’t just a place to make a call — it’s a symbol. Of tradition. Of connection. Of stories whispered on rainy afternoons and love declared on late-night calls.

Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the 1920s, these telephone boxes became part of the UK’s cultural fabric — as iconic as Big Ben or double-decker buses.

Nowadays, many are no longer in use for calls, but they’ve been reborn in creative ways — turned into mini libraries, art galleries, defibrillator stations, or even coffee kiosks.

Every red phone box holds a story — and maybe even a little piece of yours.

Have you ever stepped into one? 📸

Welcome to “UK life through my eyes 🇬🇧” — I’m so happy you’re here!

My name is Olga, and I moved from Ukraine to the UK not long ago. This page is my little corner of the internet where I share what it’s really like to start a new life in Britain.

From the culture shocks and funny moments to things that made me cry, laugh, or say “What is this food?!” — you’ll find it all here.

🇺🇦 I’ll be sharing:
• What surprised me the most in the UK
• What I miss from home (and what I’m learning to love here)
• Honest thoughts about food, people, habits, and everyday life
• Tips for other newcomers who are going through the same journey

This page is for anyone who moved here, is thinking about it, or just wants to see the UK through different eyes.

Let’s build a kind, curious, and open-hearted space together 💙
Leave a comment to say hi — where are you from?

With love,
Olga
