Hi everyone! 👋🐾

As we’ve had lots of new faces joining us recently, I thought it was the perfect time to properly introduce myself!

I'm Emily, and I’ve been lucky enough to work with a huge variety of animals over the years, from zoo species to much-loved family pets. After completing my BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, I moved into the assistance dog industry, where I now train dogs to support people with physical disabilities, autism, dementia, and epilepsy.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping owners build positive, effective relationships with their dogs through reward-based training, giving both dog and owner greater confidence and independence in everyday life.

Alongside training, I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to compete at Crufts in both 2024 and 2026, and I’m currently working towards my Scent Detection Dog Handler & Instructor qualification with City & Guilds. 🐶✨

This is Bailey — also known as Beans! 🐾💛

Bailey has tried her paw at just about everything over the years, from Gundog work to Heelwork to Music, and she’s now a fully qualified Therapy Dog!

She is also a retired agility dog, after competing at Grade 7 and proudly qualifying for Crufts in 2024 🥰

She’s a huge part of the team and often joins training classes and sessions as my trusted demonstration dog. She absolutely loves being involved and is always ready to show what she can do (especially if treats are involved!😄).

This is Meg! 🐾💛

Meg is the newest member of our team, a rescue Collie with boundless energy and a huge personality. Despite a difficult start in life, she’s already shown just how talented and enthusiastic she is.

She’s even attended Crufts 2026, where she proudly achieved her Bronze Award!

Meg can still be a little nervous in new situations, but she’s an incredibly playful, loving pup who really comes out of her shell when she’s having fun. Her favourite thing is agility, and it’s where she has gained most of her confidence, really thriving when she’s working through equipment and having a job to focus on.

She loves joining our sessions and being part of the team🐶✨

We’re excited to introduce Joe to the team! 🐾

Joe is an experienced dog trainer who has worked within the assistance dog industry, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds and personalities.

As the proud owner of a playful Husky-cross-Mali, he brings plenty of real-life experience and understanding to his training too!

You’ll see Joe as a familiar face during our one-to-one sessions and workshops, and he’s always happy to offer support and guidance along the way. 🐶

Due to the hot weather this week, all outdoor 1-2-1 sessions will be moved to cooler times of the day or rearranged to a different day where needed.

If this affects your booking, I will be in touch directly to arrange an alternative.

Monday night classes will be cancelled, as the temperature is expected to remain above 30° into the evening and it would be unsafe for the dogs.

Puppy classes on Tuesday should be running as normal, but we will be keeping a close eye on the weather and will update everyone if anything changes.

The safety and wellbeing of the dogs always comes first, thanks for your understanding ☀️🐾

Meet Em!!

Em is an experienced dog professional who has successfully run her own dog-walking business KudosK9.DogWalking for many years and has completed dog-training qualifications with Dog College.

She’ll be leading our Puppy Classes at Barlborough and is always happy to help with any questions or advice you may need along the way.

We’re delighted to have her on board and know both you and your pups will love working with her! 🐶
