This is Moo’s serious face for a serious message.

Sadly (AGAIN) it’s been brought to the attention of Mill Cottage Pet Crematorium that some pet families think their pets are in our care ,after being left at certain vets in York.
Some pet families have also been told by certain vets in York that if they use our services, we do the same and transport pets further afield.
This is very disappointing and it is sad to hear, so if you are using the vets service please do ask exactly where your pet will be transported to, how long before they are cremated and when you can have their ashes back.
Don’t walk away feeling unsure , these pets belong to YOU and you need to know what’s happening to them.

The truth is, your pet will only be in our care if YOU have made contact with us and asked for this service. Once in our care all cremations are carried out within 24hours and we stay intouch throughout the whole journey.
We never take a pet from anyone or any place without the owners consent.
We can collect your pet from the vets, but this is something you would arrange with us to do.
All cremations are carried out on our registered premises at OUR own pet crematorium on Windmill Lane, Heslington York.
Anyone is welcome to come and view/visit any part of our business.
