MILO 🤩loosely shaping recall and heel position for this guys first ever recall session! He ended with coming away from Dad who was paying attention and had some tasty treats to mum with a heel position shape and sit, loved the engagement we got from this boy in our second session can't wait to see what we achieve😸

We've upgraded our distraction levels doing this with another dog is crazy good bless her! 🤩Still needing a few reminders and he abandoned me for his mum after he'd got the treat 😂we'll keep getting better💪🏼

New skill in progress 🔒down stays with distance, we've mastered this in low distraction environments starting in the house then progressing to the garden, we will get it outside with patience.
Nothing is instant, nothing is without time and understanding.

The auto sit has been unlocked 🎉🎉practise, practise, there's nothing more rewarding than working with your dog like this and I am here to help you learn how to get this with your dog. I want everyone to enjoy time with their dog as much as I do🥰🥰

Really starting to put herself in position on the heel command 🥰 love a bit of off lead heel practice, really comes in handy when passing cyclists/runners other dogs etc on the trails.

Crate training her to associate them with down time, relaxation and positivity has meant she is so chilled in all situations. We did this when she was a puppy which made the potential puppy stresses non-existent. Here, with me at work, she snoozes happily . You're dog is very likely to need to be crated at some point in their life, whether it's for neutering, dental work or unfortunate illnesses, if they are crated for veterinary care the last thing they need is to be worked up and stressed about being in one when they should be recovering. This training honestly is so so important.

Those recall ears she's smashing getting the heel position, now working on getting the sit automatic overtime, always something to improve on 😁

Waiting at thresholds it's so nice to keep her off lead in fields etc but to know she'll never go further than I allow/what I can see until I know it's safe for her to go✨

Does your dog choose you over distractions? Does you're dog check in and wait for your say so before approaching/playing with other dogs? This is one of the hardest things to achieve, but it is so worth it and is 100% possible!
