Another Wonderful Wednesday on the farm today. We groomed the ponies and used sticky labels to label the various points on the ponies. We then planted more rainbow carrot seeds and once they're grown we can see which colour the ponies prefer!
There was lots and lots of fun had in the mud kitchen! The imagination through play is amazing to watch 🥰

Today in Hobby Horse Fitness we tackled cross country! 🐎💨

We learnt all about the different styles of cross country jumps and loved the fast pace of it all! From jumping logs, shark’s teeth, ditches and coffins to tackling a variety of tricky combinations, everyone gave it a go and had lots of fun along the way.

Who knew hobby horses could take on such a challenging course? 😍

Next week we’ll be taking on even more exciting challenges… stay tuned! 👀

Today was a slightly soggy SEND Tuesday 🌧️💚

We spent the morning grooming the ponies while the rain came down, followed by lots of time in the mud kitchens and imagination station, where creativity was in full swing!

We also got messy with mud paintings, had lots of cuddles with the chicks (they are growing so fast 🐥) and planted some rainbow carrot seeds 🥕 Did you know carrots were not always orange?

Once they have grown, we are going to do a little experiment to see which colours the ponies prefer… any guesses? 🌈🐴

We are currently advertising the next block of our wild roots group. This is a drop off session for children that runs over 4 weeks to allow children connect and thrive in nature! Spaces are limited so book quick to avoid disappointment. Once you book on you are committing to the full four weeks so no need to book eack week separately!

Our little Dolly went for a special afternoon tea today at a lovely community pop up event at Hatton Jubilee Hall, helping to raise funds and awareness for Dementia UK 💗☕🐴
Dolly brought so many smiles, cuddles and happy memories to everyone she met and it was wonderful to see how much joy she brought to the afternoon.
A huge thank you to Derbyshire Mind who help fund these memorable experiences and make visits like these possible 🫶
It is such a privilege to be part of bringing people together through animals, conversation and community 💕

Our wonderful wednesday had a very fun if not slightly soggy session today. We lit a fire so we knew we could dry off 😉 but also to help cook some home made pizza wraps! We then took a walk over to our woodland area to collect nature bits and some mud to create some beautiful mud pictures. The kids all had smiles on their faces and nothing was going to stop us having fun today!

"Yeehaw! Today's Hobby Horse Fitness went full-on Western! We tackled barrel racing patterns, weaving in and out of tires to perfect our bending. After that, the kiddos hit an imaginary trail ride (with plenty of breaks for those fast-beating hearts!). Friendships were growing stronger with each lap, and we wrapped up with some free play over the jumps. Fitness is improving, confidence soaring, and the fun just keeps galloping along!"

Next week, we’re taking our hobby horses cross-country, so get ready for some wild galloping and jumps! And hold onto your reins, because the week after, we’re diving into some hobby horse horseball—teamwork, goals, and a whole lot of fun! Don’t miss out—see you there!

We are so grateful as always to sports England who fund these sessions making them FREE!

What a spectacular day was had by all! 🥰
We’re so lucky to be part of such a wonderful local community and to see so many familiar faces wherever we go.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the dog show by Hatton Carnival. We loved meeting all your gorgeous dogs and seeing everyone getting involved, cheering each other on and having fun together. 🐶🏵️
Days like these are what community is all about ❤️
