Due to sickness and trainings, we have closed our public communication lines while we continue to limit our capacity during this time. Apologies for the inconvenience and please head to helpwildlife.co.uk for alternatives.

Hi all, sorry for the radio silence for the last week. DART has been experiencing significant technical issues at a time I wasn’t available to resolve them. We can access Messenger and Facebook again now but please be patient with us while we work through the messages we’ve accrued whilst we couldn’t respond. My biggest apologies for the inconvenience and thank you so much to everyone that reached out to us through another communication channel during this time. Personally, I’m struggling a lot with my health at the moment and DART will be operating at a limited capacity for now as a result. Apologies for this too. Lots of love, I hope you’re all having a good day and I will get back to posting DART updates as soon as I have the capacity to.

Our Facebook messenger is down 😫
We’re trying to resolve this asap but I also have a surgical procedure today so please bare with us. It always all happens at once!

If the individual we were speaking with about your lost cockatiel could please send a text to our phone line: 07530605416 in the mean time, we’d be very grateful.

Apologies for the inconvenience!

Today, volunteers from the Dartford Animal Rescue Team visited South East Dog Rescue to donate 20% of the funds raised from DART’s event last Friday with Nicole's vocals ❤️🎶🪩

SEDR’s Marjorie the pug had to join us for some belly rubs of course 🥹😍

Thank you to everyone that came along to this amazing event to support two dedicated and hard-working rescues in this community. We couldn’t do what we do without you!🫶

3 baby wood pigeons, all from different locations, all either confirmed or suspected to have been taken from their nests by cats who are a non-native and unnatural predator to this wonderful species. They have a variety of injuries between them that, now they’re all stabilised and undergoing treatment, have a good prognosis.

The middle baby (at the back) is Pete - named by their finder ❤️ the smallest baby (at the front) is Fred - named by their finder after his son, and the biggest baby is currently nameless, but I’m sure they don’t mind 😂

These kids are being hand-reared at DART. As cute as they are, this process is as quiet and concise as possible as any unnecessary engagement (or worse CUDDLING!!) from human hand-rearers would put these babies at risk of malprinting and taming. It would put them at a huge disadvantage and make their survival in the wild far less likely. During their rehabilitation with us they will have the opportunity to socialise with each other, and eventually join an enclosure with older pigeons also in the pre-release stage who they can also learn from.

But they’ve got a little while to go before that. Stay strong little loves, I’m sorry you a had a scary start in the wild but we will get you back there for your first real chance of freedom soon!

What a night! Thank you so much to everyone that joined our fundraising evening last night ❤️🪩🎶

We raised a whopping £965 pounds, which my wonderful mum and organiser of the event has round up to £1000 🤯😭💗 DART will be donating 20% of this to South East Dog Rescue in support of their campaign to save their centre.

There are so many people to thank that made this night the success that it was:

Nicole's vocals for her ridiculous talent, amazing energy and the kind donation of her time and beautiful voice. You MADE this event and I’ve had messages coming in all day in awe of your performance ❤️
Dartford Working Men's Club for allowing us to use their fully accessible venue free of charge, and of course the amazing staff on the bar all night 🧡
The wonderful representatives of South East Dog Rescue that joined us, with a particular shoutout to Kelly for her powerful speech on SEDR’s campaign to save their centre 💛
Our wonderful DART trustee Shaun for helping no end with the promotion and advertisement of this event 💚
Every single person that bought a ticket, entered the raffles and sung, danced and chatted the night away with us 💙
And of course, my mum. An angel on earth whom DART couldn’t exist without. Mum, you’re my hero and I hope if I ever grow up that I’ll be even a hint of the endlessly compassionate powerhouse you are. I love you so much 💜

Thank you ALL 😭 I’m so sorry we were having too much fun to remember to take any decent photos! But I hope you enjoy these blurry shots as much as we enjoyed ourselves in them 😂 have a great day everyone ❤️❤️

COME ALONG TO OUR FUNDRAISING EVENT 2nd MAY

Hear stories from DART’s past, present and future: animal rescue emergency tales, local hero stories, and MORE!

Local singer Nicole Lawrence will be covering some amazing tracks while we fill the dance floor 🕺🕺There are drinks available at the bar, a raffle to enter, and the chance to meet and hear from members of our hard-working volunteer team.

We’ll be donating 20% of the funds raised to South East Dog Rescue in support of their campaign to save their centre.

Our wonderful singer Nicole is the niece of South East Dog Rescue’s founder, Kymm. She is also my colleague at one of our local vet practices and has cared for numerous abandoned and unwell kittens. We are so lucky to have her singing at our event!

This is a night for animal-lovers, BY animal-lovers… and people who love a dance 😂💃 we hope to see you there! Drop us a message to secure your tickets or head to Dartford Working Men’s Club next time you’re in Dartford Town Centre to buy them at the bar there (cash or card)❤️
