Some shows mean more than others, and this one truly did 🤍

I couldn’t be prouder of Rubin at the NAF Five Star Dressage Championships, competing at Medium level. He hasn’t always found big atmosphere shows easy, and in many ways this felt like a real decision maker for us whether we would continue competing at bigger shows depending on how he felt about it all.

But this time he tried so hard even though he was tense, he let me in more than he ever has before and that was always my biggest aim

It’s funny (and a little sad) how we spend so long preparing, building up to these big events, carrying all the nerves and pressure… and then suddenly it’s done in a matter of minutes. And just like that, it’s back to the beginning again more work, more training, more chasing scores.

But if anything, this has made me even more determined. Determined to be better for my horses and to give them the confidence they deserve to shine.
