Our 5-week Life Skills course is designed for dogs of all ages — from young puppies to adults. We cover essential foundations including recall, loose lead walking, focus, calmness, and problem-solving — all taught using positive, science-based methods.

With small, supportive groups, you’ll get plenty of individual guidance while your dog learns in a calm, structured environment.

✨ Trick Star Spotlight – Maverick ✨

Last but by no means least… Maverick! 🏅

Maverick has absolutely nailed his flat down – and he’s done it with style. Years ago, one of my old photography mentors, a seasoned print competition judge, used to say that one of the strongest images you can get is when a dog looks straight down the barrel of the lens. I think you’ll agree… Maverick has nailed that too. 📸🔥

Maverick has been training with us for quite some time, and it simply wouldn’t feel like Trick Star without him.

Well done, Maverick – you’ve earned your beautiful Trick Star certificate and professional photo, and you’ve done it in true Maverick style.

✨ Trick Star Spotlight – Magnum ✨

Congratulations to Magnum on passing his Trick Star Level One! 🏅

Magnum is a high-energy, high-arousal boy, and over the past 4 weeks we’ve watched him work incredibly hard to channel all that enthusiasm into focus and teamwork. That unbridled bounce is so common in young dogs – and Magnum’s joy is infectious. 🐾💛

Despite all that energy, Magnum is a true people-pleaser who really wants to get it right. As I flicked through his graduation photos, you could almost see the cogs turning as he concentrated on each task.

We’re so proud of you, Magnum – you’ve earned your beautiful Trick Star certificate and professional photo, and shown just how much progress can be made in only 4 weeks.

✨ Trick Star Spotlight – Blaze ✨

Dog training isn’t just about the end result – it’s about building confidence in both handler and dog. ❤️ Over the past 4 weeks, Blaze and their family have done exactly that, growing in skill, trust, and teamwork.

That said… it’s always a bonus when we get the wow moments too! 🤩 Blaze hasn’t just mastered one skill – they’ve nailed two! The super-cute “take a selfie” 📸 and the all-important flat down 🐾.

We’ve been blown away by the progress Blaze has made in just 4 short weeks. On graduation day, they walked away with their beautiful Trick Star certificate and a professional photo of them nailing their tricks – memories to treasure forever.

Please join me Alice & Gracie in giving a huge round of applause to Blaze and their brilliant handlers – you’ve worked so hard and should be incredibly proud. 🎉💛

‼️ Hot Weather Warning ‼️

We will be keeping an eye on the weather today as it is due to hit 26 degrees today and 28 degrees tomorrow.

Not only is this too hot for us to ask our dogs to safely complete agility courses due to the physical exertion, it also means that the ground once again will be extremely hard. We wouldn’t ask them to jump on concrete, but the ground in this heat could be as hard as that!

There is some rain due too so we will make the call by 4pm today as to whether agility classes will go ahead over the next couple of days. I will message owners individually if this occurs ☺️

We are bursting with pride over our Trick Star Level One class – every single one of you absolutely SMASHED it!
I’d planned to congratulate you all together, but it only feels right to celebrate each of you individually.
So first up, let’s give a huge round of applause to Otto and his wonderful family!
To say you’ve generalised this behaviour is an understatement – you’ve truly mastered it.

A massive “well done” from me, Alice, and Gracie for an absolutely fantastic job. You’ve officially passed Level One, nailing the all-important flat down.
