We get asked a lot which brush or tool is best for your pet, so we’ve compiled a handy list for you 🥰
Short Haired Dogs - A rubber curry brush will be your best friend! We recommend the Zoom Groom. These rubber fingers remove loose fur—really helpful for deshedding! We also stock the shedding glove, great for thicker coats like Labradors and Pugs. Both work wet or dry!
Drop Coats, Curly Coats & Full Groom Dogs - when knots and matting get wet and then dry they get tighter, so we have to stay on top of it! Slickers with hooked pins get to the base and pull through tangles. Line brush, then comb through to the skin to ensure you’re knot-free. Detangle spray helps—brush when spritzed. If matting is severe, give us a call!
Cats - The Zoom Groom works for all fur types. For long-haired cats, add a slicker with hooked pins for tangles and a cat comb to deshed and catch missed knots.
Double Coated Dogs - The Zoom Groom and deshedding glove catch shedding and work great on shorter areas like fronts of legs and the head. For thick-coated breeds like Pomeranians and Chow Chows, add a slicker, comb, and deshedding rake to get through the topcoat and loosen the undercoat.
Extras - Don’t forget teeth and nails! We’ve got nail clippers and dental care options for any pet.
Top Tip - The comb is essential for non-short-coated breeds. It’ll reveal if you’re not reaching down to the skin!
