1-2-1 with Peaches

She was pulling on the lead, zig-zagging, and had little to no engagement with her handler. When she saw people or dogs, she would cry, lunge and drag, being a strong girl made her difficult to control.

So we focused on properly conditioning her to the prong collar, and started building her reward marker and overall engagement. Progress in the right direction.

Bruno’s had a couple of 1–2–1 sessions with us.

We focused on luring Bruno into the heel position and conditioning him to the grot collar.

We also worked on some free shaping bowl work. I love watching puppies use their brains and problem-solve for themselves, and Bruno really engaged with this. This will help him learn to bring his rear end into the correct heel position over time, while also engaging his brain and building muscle memory and strength in his back legs.

Leo the Labrador came in for a 1-2-1 session to work on lead walking, as he tends to pull and can be very strong for his owner.

During the session, Leo was conditioned to a grot collar to make handling easier and give the owner more control while walking. He responded well and showed good progress for a first session.

There is still plenty to work on, and his owner will need to continue practicing at home particularly focusing on timely lead corrections “popping” the lead and maintaining consistent handling and working through different distractions.

Hiraya – 7 Months Old 💚

• Pulling heavily on the lead
• Walks becoming unenjoyable
• Over-excited around people and dogs
• Lunging to greet and difficult to regain focus

We introduced and conditioned Hiraya to a Grot collar to give his owner clearer communication and safer handling. This isn’t about “stopping” the dog. It’s about creating structure, boundaries and fair, consistent guidance.

Within the session we saw:
Improved handling
Clearer lead communication
Better engagement
Calmer decision making

The goal isn’t to suppress his personality, it’s to teach him how to channel it.

He’s a cracking pup with loads of potential. With the right structure now, he’ll grow into a well-mannered, powerful dog that his owners can control.

Kobe has been with us for two weeks now and is already showing fantastic progress.

He originally joined us due to over-excitement, unreliable recall, pulling on the lead, struggling to hold positions such as sit and down, jumping up at people, and wanting to greet every dog he saw.

We’ve been working on building his neutrality, engagement, calmness, and overall obedience and he’s coming along brilliantly.

He is now fully off-lead, conditioned to the e-collar, and becoming neutral around other dogs. We still have a few bits to work on, but I’m really happy with the progress he’s made so far.
