Loudly for the ones at the back, teach your kiddos that meds are okay!!!

This is Beaker, he literally just arrived today, and is already being a superstar meds taker with this weirdo (me). The only reason that's possible is because his human has taught him that it's all good, in an easy way.

Don't overcomplicate it. Get your rats used to malt paste, it makes everyone's lives much easier, I promise!

But please also remember that I'm not your rats' human. They can act completely differently in a new environment, and I have first hand experience of that when my lads went on their holidays and Hurricane was a difficult sod, bless him. So we do understand when they're a wee bit difficult, but don't overcomplicate the process. Please. Pleeeeeease 😂

This is one of my rats, his name is Gus and he's a neutered boy. He is truly a Disney character in rat form; ridiculously cute and photogenic 🥰🥹 this is his favourite sleeping spot that his former owners gave me for him. I co-rat-parent with them; they get regular updates, can visit at any time they want, and when his time comes to cross over they'll be there to be with their precious boy. We joke that it's Gus and his Harem as he's surrounded by girls (he doesn't seem to mind though 😉) 😁

As well as the gorgeous Apache we also have an old man in the mischief called Hurricane. Hurricane needs separate food in the evenings with some meds. He decided that this evening he was coming out for a wander around the rat room and he explored every inch of it, then he let me know he was ready for his dinner. He's a funny little thing with opinions, I'm sure his owner will be getting a strongly worded letter about his nightly washes after his dinner 😁🥰

Look at this gorgeous lad. He's an Agouti Silken and I have fallen in love with him. He's an absolute unit too but so very gentle, unless you have a snack for him then he becomes feral 😂 (like most rats)
