And if anyone knows how that feels… it’s beautiful Marnie… charging through the week like a boss, with Hamish the Highland Cow firmly clamped in her chops and absolutely zero intention of giving up now. 💪🐾

Coffee? Optional.
Motivation? Questionable.
Dragging ourselves toward Friday whilst carrying half our responsibilities in our mouth like Marnie? 100% relatable. 🤣

So if this is you right now… ears back, eyes focused, slightly feral, but still pushing through… congratulations… you’ve officially made it over the hump.

Now all that’s left is Friday… then we can all pretend we’ve got our lives together again 😅

Yak to the future… Erica’s nearly gone!

Our cheeky little Erica the Yak has been causing quite the yak-tivity… and honestly… we’re not surprised 🐾😂

With only 200 ever made, Erica was always going to be a bit of a yak-sclusive… and now she’s running yak-ly low!

So if you’ve been sitting on the yak fence… this is your sign. Don’t come yak-ing to us when she’s gone 👀

Once Erica trots off into the sunset… that’s yak, folks!

Right… buckle up, dog lovers… because this weekend Richard and I are packing the van, fluffing our hair, and heading to our very first Goodwoof… aka… the Glastonbury of dog shows! 🐾✨

And when we say this isn’t your average dog event… we mean think bougee, think fashion, think utterly bonkers in the best possible way.

Where else can your dog have a tarot reading…
listen to story time with celebrities…
watch dogs strut their stuff like it’s canine Milan Fashion Week…
and even witness what can only be described as Strictly Come Dancing… with dogs?! 💃🐕

Oh… and if that wasn’t enough, there’ll be incredible independent brands, luxury pet goodies, and some seriously big names including Laura Ashley, LEGO and Jellycat bringing the magic.

But let’s be honest… the real reason to visit?
To come and see Richard & Martin from Aurora Paws of course 😉

Come say hello, have a laugh, browse our latest eco toys, and watch Richard pretend he’s there for “business” whilst secretly shopping and chatting to every dog in sight.

And if the British weather behaves itself… there’s every chance my pasty pins and dangerously short shorts might make an appearance… and honestly… nobody is ever fully prepared for that ☀️🩳😂

Those of you who know Richard and I, know we’ll always champion independent brands wherever we can. Behind every order is a real person, a real story, late nights, big dreams, and a whole lot of passion… and honestly, that matters to us.

So today we wanted to give a huge shoutout to our lovely friends at Chic Pup for creating something truly special for little Brianna 🐾

Her brand new luxury car seat and carry bag has officially arrived… and wow… we are absolutely obsessed!

Beautifully handcrafted, personalised with her name, custom lined exactly how we wanted it, and made with so much love, care and attention to detail… you can instantly tell this isn’t something mass produced… this is proper craftsmanship.

Brie is already living her best boujie life… travelling around like the little princess she clearly believes she is 👑😂

If there’s one thing people know about me and Richard… it’s that we can talk dog toys all day… but mention cocktails and suddenly we’re listening very carefully. 🍸😂

So today we wanted to give a massive shoutout to one of our favourite small business friends, BYTCHMIX.
Honestly… these guys don’t just make cocktails… they make “just one drink” turn into “well… it would be rude not to…” kind of cocktails. 😅

Our May order has officially landed and this month’s lineup is looking dangerously good…

🍹 And my absolute ride-or-die… Long Island Iced Tea (basically a holiday and poor decisions in a glass 😂)

Every bottle is handmade right here in Yorkshire by Helen and the team, crafted with passion, personality and a little bit of “go on… you deserve it.” Their cocktails are crafted and tested in Yorkshire bars before bottling.

Truth is… times are tough for a lot of small businesses right now. So if you’re going to treat yourself this weekend, maybe skip the supermarket big brands for once… and support the legends working late nights, packing orders by hand, and pouring their hearts into what they do.

Support local. Support small. Support Yorkshire booze. 🍸❤️

We have been tagged in photos by customers already, some have even bought two toys, one for their dog and then donated the second to a dog charity.

Times are hard, but £6 helps fund an amazing event, that brings people to the town, which then supports the fellow small businesses.

At Aurora Paws, we don’t do flimsy, five-minute toys. We design our toys to be tugged, chewed, shaken, flung across the garden, buried in the flower beds, “accidentally” dropped in the water bowl… and loved hard.

Made using natural suede, tough compacted cotton and planet-friendly materials… because being eco doesn’t mean being delicate.

We’re reaching out to our amazing local community in Horbury, Ossett, and Wakefield to help support something truly special — the Horbury Street Fayre.

This event holds such a special place in our journey… it’s where it all began for us. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers and local people giving up their own time, the fayre is a true celebration of community spirit.

As a small thank you, we’ve created a bespoke, Horbury-inspired dog toy — and the best part? 100% of every sale goes directly back to the Street Fayre to help keep this incredible event alive.

We’re now looking for local businesses who would be happy to stock, promote, or sell these toys and be part of something meaningful. If that’s you, please get in touch with the Street Fayre team 🙌

Street Fayre

Hi everyone, we are shouting out for local horbury business to help raise money for the Horbury Street Fayre , if anyone is willing to promote and sell these fab new Horbury inspired dog toys then get in touch with the Horbury street fayre team.

The fayre is where it all began for us and holds a special place in our business journey.

It is ran by volunteers and locals who give up their own free time to make this event happen every year.

As a massive thank you, we wanted to create bespoke dog toy that will help to raise funds.

100% of the sales will go straight to the street fayre.

Please share this in every local horbury, Ossett and Wakefield Facebook group to maximize their exposure and raise some funds for this special event.

One of our long-standing stallholders, Aurora Paws Dog Lifestyle Brand, has created a limited run of Horbury branded dog toys - and kindly donated 100 of them to support the Fayre.

They are available £6 each or 2 for £10, with all proceeds going directly back into the Street Fayre (which is run by a team of local volunteers).

They’re a good size (around 19cm x 13cm x 3cm), well made and built to last - ideal for keeping your dog entertained while supporting something local.

They will be available to buy at Ingham’s DIY shop (bottom of Queen St) - run by one of our volunteers, Michael.
